Reading through comments on Reddit and I just have to ask. Do others hate the game as much as they do. It has some serious flaws but is still great as far as I’m concerned.

I agree, it has its flaws but im still enjoying playing it. Although i have given up on RtG after failing 4 position battles and havent played a down through 8 games.

I am also following the reddit thread too. My opinions is that the problem with the reddit community is they want a perfect product and for the most part have unrealistic expectations.

That’s every Reddit thread on a video game, no matter the quality
Right. The people having fun with the game are playing the game and not trolling around reddit.

I like it a lot so far. Game play has is quirks but I'm getting better. The sim logic seems to be the biggest flaw right now and I'm sure they'll end up patching and fixing that stuff.

Right now just finishing first season of my team builder dynasty. Went 13-0 and won my conference title game. Got the number 2 seed in the Playoff but I was stuck at #4 in the rankings. Number 1 was Notre Dame who was 11-1 and didn't make the Playoff. #2 was Ohio State who got the #1 Playoff seed, then #3 was an 8-4 Oklahoma who got the #12 seed and lost in the first round.

I hope some quality of life things get patched in, like scout all or offer all

Just finished my first game. Started a dynasty with ISU and me as the head coach in Varsity mode. Beat FCS NW by 69-7. Pretty awesome so far.

I agree about quality of life recruiting tweaks would be really nice. I like recruiting but it takes too damn long.

Yeah the recruiting system needs some patches to the interface. In several ways that took a step back. Why the heck can’t I see a list of recruits visiting on game week? No maps at all, those were cool on 14.

That time commitment does get a lot smaller after that first week.

This second year I think I'm hitting a bug where it's not letting me schedule visits for a handful of recruits once they hit the Top 5 stage. The option just stays locked.

I haven’t purchased the game yet, still playing through the 10 hour trial. There are always going to be nitpicks with this series. I try not to read them otherwise they “break the glass” for me and I start seeing those flaws a lot more.

However, I think the most annoying thing for me so far is how easy it is to accidentally get a block in the back penalty in Road to Glory. I’ve had at least 3-4 touchdown runs called back from my team because the camera shifts to the player with the ball during a long run and I’m still holding onto the control stick, and my character apparently accidentally runs into someone off screen. I’ve just learned to let go of the stick as soon as the camera moves.

Only have an hour left of my trial and I’m still on the fence as to whether I’ll get the full thing. Just not able to play this game for long stretches like I used to be able to. The fact that I’ve been able to stretch the trial out this long is evidence of that. :p

I think these games are the kind that are made for not playing in long stretches. Play a game here or there to stretch out the season, or bust it out when friends come over for beers. It may even be best that way.

If you think about it, if you’re redshirting a 95% of guys you probably need like 18 commits a year.
My goal is 18-21 recruits every year, high school and portal.

One thing I hate about the recruiting right now is, if you want make/keep progress you have to Send the House for weeks. Even with Send the House you still have other schools jumping you. And Send the House takes a large chunk of your hours. So you can’t spend enough time on other recruits and if you’re not on Send the House you won’t get their commitment. I have to prioritize Send the House on 14 guys. Won’t get them all. Maybe half??

I send the house on like you said, 13 or 14 guys until week 4, find the 4 stars with zero offers, and hit them and gradually increase how much I send at them as there are guys I don’t get. Generally end up with about 15 high school recruits.
