Friday OT: Closing Time

After a solid day of drunken debauchery, I wound up in the back end of someone's pickup with some friends. We ended up in Hunky Dorys around midnight. In the midst of what I considered dancing (it probably looked more like someone walking into a spiderweb) this girl in a white tank, cowboy hat and cut off jean shorts walked up to me without a word and started making out with me hard.

She then looked me dead in the eye, breathes "Are you scared?" and proceeds to grind on me for the remainder of the song. The song ends, she turns away (again, without a word), walks over to her group of friends, and leave.

Despite the liquid courage coursing through my veins, I just stood in the middle of the dance floor, dumfounded as to what just happened. By the time I came to my senses, she had left.

When I got back to my dorm I tell my roommate about what happened. He asked what she looked like. I give him a description and he calmly goes, "Oh, that's 'Jen'. She's there all the time. I actually ****** her two weeks ago here when you went home for the weekend."

I later find out that 6 other guys on my dorm floor had "relations" with her in the past semester. I went from feeling special to feeling like...

I also had an awesome night drinking and attempting to salsa dance at Cafe Beaudelaire after hours one summer night. My friend from Panama got me in there. It was a ton of fun.

And I think this would be a fun idea for OT Friday: Friend circles in college. I had friend circles who for different bars. I also had a friend circle for Ames in the summer. That could be another thread, Ames was the best in the summertime when most the students were gone.

Edit: Google Contacts i always saved numbers, like 'Guy Spanish 102 in Summer'. We had a good time in the summers, and have no clue his name. Just try summer for language class for requirements, go to the bars, could find a place to sleep.

Man I went home for my 'job' in hyvee after freshman, then after the summer was the best times. Should have stay.

Summer, cool people, go to Peterson Pit, find a tube (or inflatable mattress) to go Skunk river, and play tailgate games while hang out outside.

I went to summer school straight outta high school and took 6 credits every summer while working. I had a blast during the summers. Most of my best friends were met on the sand volley ball courts and at house parties. Plus, it was the best time to expand your horizons and meet a lot of international students that stayed over the summers.

Jen was not her actual name, but man, was it a common name while I was in Ames. This guy on my floor would shout "Hey Jen" at a group of girls during parties for an icebreaker. Someone would always respond.

Summertime in Ames is awesome. Bars aren't packed, Peterson Pits, scoot down to DSM for an ICubs day game, make some money.

In college it was Wednesday - Es Tas to play pool, drink $1.50 wells and $5 burger baskets. Thursday-Saturday a mix of Paddy's, Cy's and Mickeys with a stop at Sips after 130 to close out. Cafe B on Fridays from time to time for FAC

Welch Ave Station was and still is my favorite campus town bar. The OG Cy's Roost that had the kitchen right inside the front door before they got shutdown then remodeled to it's currently config was.my 2nd. The $1 burger Wednesdays was great, usually had a line down Welch to get in.

Reading through this thread, I'm swatting off nostalgia like mosquitoes. My vote is for Thumbs. I was one of those weirdos. Drank there underage, saw the picture of Eustacy, and never quit showing up.
