Definitely Utah or K state. I am enlightened about the Iowa game. It is regularly the worst football game played across all levels of the sport every year. I have stopped caring about the result and mostly expect us to lose or to win in a completely unsatisfying way. In this way I have achieved inner peace
I want to beat Iowa badly, don't ever think otherwise, but we have a chance to win our effing conference (on paper). I would kind of like to do that. Beating Utah, on the road, would be monumental for that (on paper).
- K State is at home so I'll take my chances.
- I also think we have a good chance at beating Iowa without some "guarantee".
- I do not think we are beating Utah.
There's my logic...

The answer is Utah. Plain and simple. That's the least likely game we'll win. Why do you want to ask for a guaranteed win on a game we have a very good chance to win. We won in Iowa City just 2 years ago. We beat KSU last year at KSU, we get KU in Arrowhead so that's not a real away game.

Any answer other than UTAH are people still stuck in the McCarney years.

The logical answer I see is "whatever the toughest conference opponent of that year's schedule".
The preseason talk points to that being Utah.

The emotional answer is Iowa. But it could also be a big payoff answer IF we think we're going to have a great year in conference already and want a better chance of making the playoff.

Kansas State is a blended answer since they're a conference rival and a top team. Bit that's a home game.

Give me the W @ Utah.

I think the Iowa response may be in part because people are confused. If we were going to win one game but lose the rest of them, I'd probably pick Iowa because we deal with them regularly. If it is how I think the question was intended in that we still can win games but one is guaranteed, it most definitely is either Utah or KState due to conference standings implications and those games matter significantly more.

Not exactly sure.
Not saying Utah doesn’t have a good team but I remember how good these new teams were supposed to be and most did poorly. How good was the PAC from top to bottom? Did they get a few weeks or poor teams to rest on?

If we are only winning one game, we are a dumpster fire and I don't GAF which game it is.

Apparently @Cydkar doesn't have any hawkeye coworkers or family members. I'm surrounded by them. I don't want to just beat Iowa. I want to run up the score. I want their fans to feel despair. I want to see full cans of Swarm filling up dumpsters. I want vintage hawkeye football of the 60s & 70s.

If I could have 2 guaranteed wins, Kansas State would be my next pick. At least we got to host Snyder's retirement party. That was a good day.

The Iowa game is important because it helps in-state recruiting and helps us notch another win under the belt for the hypothetical CFP, but outside of that, it's a non-con game. It's no doubt the most important non-con game but outside of the spectacle of everything surrounding the game, it's not as important as any of the conference games.

Being that we have a legitimate shot at making the Big 12 Title game, which could give us a shot at the CFP, winning at Utah would be my answer and makes the most sense.

Kansas.....tired of the chickenhawks outcoaching us the last couple of years...plus it would be hilarious to see their fans reaction when a true neutral site is released upon them come November
