I'm 72 years old and have been a Cyclone fan for over 60 years. I attended my 1st Cyclone game in 1968 at old Clyde Williams and watched new coach Johnny Majors start building a winning foundation at Iowa State. As a season ticket holder of over 35 years I thought I would give you my all time Cyclone team covering the period of time I've watched ISU FB. So here are my picks:

QB (3) Seneca Wallace, Brock Purdy, Sage Rosenfels; RB (5) Troy Davis, Breece Hall, David Montgomery, Dwayne Crutchfield, George Amundson; WR (6) Todd Blythe, Allen Lazard, Xavier Hutchinson, Lane Danielsen, Hakeem Butler, Tracey Henderson; TE (4) Charlie Kolar, Keith Krepfle; Mike Busch, EJ Bibbs; OL/T (4) Kelechie Osemele, Karl Nelson, Keith Sims, Patrick Augafa; OL/G (4) Gene Williams, Bruce Reimers, Doug Skartevdt, **** Cuvelier; OL/C (2) Ben Bruns, Tom Farniok; DL/T&NG (6) Mike Stensrud, Jordan Carstens, Tom Randal, Ray Lima, Ahytuba Rubin, James Reed; DE (4) Will McDonald, Reggie Hayward, JaQuan Bailey, Jason Berryman; LB (6) Matt Blair, AJ Klein, Jake Knott, Mike Rose, Chris Washington, Jake Hummell; DB (4) Marcus Robertson, TJ Tampa, Larry Crawford, Leonard Hamilton; S (4) Barry Hill, Tony Washington, Greg Eisworth, Anthony Johnson; PK (2) Jeff Shudek, Cole Netten; KR (2) Kene Nwangu, Luther Blue; P (2) Marc Harris, Kirby Vandekamp; PR (2) James McMillion, JJ Moses. I agree exactly with you on QB... however... you're going to tick a lot of Cyclone fans off with having Seneca first.

Also... glad to see you include Chris Washington at LB! Loved that guy! He deserves to be in there for sure!

I hope I have your memory when I’m 72.

Unbelievable and I can’t argue any selection. Well done sir.

Totally agree. That is a great list. I would have to add D Nichols, T Watkins and D Hoppman to C Stapleton era

Excellent list! Well done. My initial thoughts are I am 48 and have seen the vast majority of the players play in person - been going to games since I was about 3.

Curious to see the players grouped by head coach - seems like Campbell would have the most by quite a bit.

Hard to disagree with any of that. Not sure if you're restricting yourself to a certain number per position, but as others mentioned, Ellis Hobbs and Dexter Green would be my only additions I think.

Good list for sure. Like others mentioned Ellis Hobbs needs to be listed, seems DB might be our strongest group over the years. QB has been good too w/ Espinoza and Archer in your time frame as well. I would add Dennis Gibson at LB, Jim Luebers and Big Max Eggelston at OL. All the old timers tell me Jim Doran stories all the time.

Jake Hummel over guys like Alvin Bowen, Willie Harvey, Jeremiah George, Tim Dobbins, and Jeremy Loyd is an interesting choice. Great list though. This would have taken a lot of time and thought.

Someone mentioned Ellis Hobbs but I would also throw Leonard Johnson (CB) into the mix as well.
