The trees in the neighborhood are changing color already
Seems very early
Interesting. The foliage forecasts I’ve seen have been a week to 10 days later than normal.

Summer's last stand (hopefully)?
One last time to crack out the inflatable pool and spend an afternoon enjoying a few Ames Lagers while playing with the kiddo.
Real early. 10:50am for HS and MS. 11:50am for elementary.CR Community Schools are dismissing early tomorrow.
Doesn't quite beat my record. I went to the OG Novak Elementary at Linn-Mar. Did not have A/C, old brick three story building. Insanely hot on the top floor where I was at this point. School started at 8:45 and at 8:50 they announced a dismissal at 9:15. They knew they were going to do it to get the day to count so the busses did not even leave.Real early. 10:50am for HS and MS. 11:50am for elementary.

That opens a whole other can of worms. Why even have them go then?
Wish they had taken advantage of the infrastructure setup during Covid to have a way to do school from home rather than cancel class for weather.
I sure would like some rain though. I guess we were spoiled earlier this year.

3 more days, then GTFO heat.
The tropics seem to have gone silent, so moisture via that delivery route isn't happening soon.I sure would like some rain though. I guess we were spoiled earlier this year.
Do the bar's open early?Have a daughter who is a freshman and is on the 3rd floor of Roberts Hall. No A/C.
I suggested she just find a corner of the library and hang out there during the day.
