East Bleachers still available according to the ticket platform.
Decided not to go this year. First non 2020 Holiday tournament I'll miss since graduating. Saving the money for the Bowl Game and NCAA tournament run.
I don't think Iowa State will ever be on the level of the "true" bluebloods of the sport (such as Kansas or Kentucky). But with its fan support, its home court, and playing in the elite college basketball conference, there's no reason Iowa State shouldn't be no worse than one tier down from that level.
Bad luck and bad coaching hires held us back for a long time. Hopefully no longer.
ISU east bleacher tickets are now sold out. Now there are no ISU ticket options on the ticket platform.

I looked at that but snagged a reservation at Mala Ocean Tavern.

Looked at Star. Have heard great things. That little area looks legit.
We may grocery store up a buffet for Thanksgiving.
If you don't want to pay for the food/place to sit, you can watch the entire thing for free on the walking path between the beach and the hotel grounds where they host the event. At least that worked in 2018.

that Vegas NIL tournament is going to pull teams away from this. Baylor and Oregon dropped out of Maui 2025 field to attend that if im not mistaken
NIL claims its next victim. I believe Baylor pulled out for 2025 to play in the Vegas NIL event (like we are too).
Maui sponsors going to have to step up with team payouts....or its a mid major trip going forward.

The crazy thing is that the NIL tournaments, and there will be more that pop up, aren't anywhere near legal by the terms of the House settlement but I'm guessing that isn't going to matter in the end.
Hell, they've had to change the format of the Vegas one like 3 times to try to make it a 'tournament' when it's clearly, clearly not a tournament.

Yea not sure how they’re getting around the bonuses. Maybe it’s a separate NIL contract “event” once you each the final 2 or whatever bonuses they’re giving out so it’s technically not a bonus but a “whole new thing”
I do remember reading somewhere they are giving the money to the participating teams blanket wide, meaning the player didn’t have to play to receive the money, everyone gets the same.
