Proud Grandma brag here...

My granddaughter went to Xcountry team time trials this morning for her high school in Lincoln. She finished 2nd out of about 45 girls. She will be on the varsity squad this fall.

She's a freshman. The only one on the varsity squad. And son thinks the rest of the squad is all seniors. He has a pretty good feel for that as they now have a senior, a junior, and a freshman at the high school this year...plus the fourth daughter entering middle school.

I lived in the house of testosterone with Lew & all those teenage boys - this son and our youngest are living in estrogen filled houses with four daughters each. :D

It's a take over. I have seven grandnieces and only two grandnephews. Good thing I generally like talking with women more than guys so it suits me.

Fifteen and one. The one boy is in the middle of the pack at number six.

Fun fact - he's about 6-3 and still growing. The Xcountry runner is around 5-9 now. Almost all of the grandkids are taller than me. I'm still taller than the two 12 year olds. :D

To the guy banging on the door and then pulling them open at Walmart this morning…. Off your meds? He proceeds to get inside, grabs a cart then proceeds to shout profanities about the store not being open. He then pulls open the inside doors and goes in.

Two others and I roll our car windows down are like WTF did we just see?? We walked up to the doors and asked if the employee if they were open, he said “yes”. We saw the guy at down by the bakery area, but did not go his direction. Would what he did be considered breaking and entering?

Sure the store didn’t open right away, but going postal on sliding doors at 6 am….someone must have really needed a donut pretty bad.

We did report to him to customer service.

I remember when the Walmart near me was 24x7. If I absolutely had to go there I did it between 5 & 6am. That's the only time it was tolerable.

Isn't it funny, no matter if it is a movie or tv show, when time is of the essence the characters always have to stop and have a conversation.

Not exactly sure.
My wife likes to mix up pancake mix. Then she will say she’s taking a shower and wants me to make them. The batter is thicker than rubber cement. I’m always having to add water or milk. Today I couldn’t even pour the batter. It just stacked up.

Being there at all at 6 am seems crazy to me.

And villains take so much time telling their victim WHY they are killing them that they (the villians) often get offed before they can kill their victims.

Stomach bug running through our house. My one year old threw up all over me last night while rocking him to sleep. My wife woke up puking at 5:30 this morning. I have a really busy week at work this week so not ideal if I have to miss work to care for sick kids or if I’m sick myself.

Every time my sister goes to Hobby Lobby she sends me a picture of this picture. Says it's the saddest thing ever. I bought it for her birthday. Either she's going to like it or she's gonna hate me.

Well I got a couple dirty looks but I don't think she hates it. She was more surprised than anything that I actually bought it. Says I have to come over and hang it up for her.
