Not exactly sure.
Okay, the concept of parades is actually quite dumb. You get a grand Marshall leading a bunch of fire trucks, ambulances and old cars. Sometimes a band and a few local businesses. Oh yeah, and politicians. That’s your basic parade.

No tractors?
Could at least have a parade day host to fill in the spaces where there's no candy being handed out.

In high school our band would usually do 2 or 3 parades on the 4th of July. I don't recall Labor Day parades

Lady across the the street had her skirt blow up from the back the other day while I was getting the mail. Not sure if she knew it happened or not.

My school inservice last week really felt like a lot more of getting back to some basics for school wide expectations, communication with staff, etc. and it appears that more of the same is maybe coming down the pike if the trend spreads.

gonna be hard at the kid's school. For math she just tells them to use their phones for calculators.

That sounds pretty minor and a possibility for some balance for certain situations at least.

Or figure out a way to just have calculators (budget priorities pending).

The kids that just text one another and decide to go out into the hall to meet up, live-streaming in class, etc. would be nice to cut out.

Kid’s school doesn’t allow study halls anymore. Said they weren’t using them efficiently. I told him to ask the principal if all teachers use their prep time efficiently. Which the answer is no, but adults can screw off but not the kids.

If the principal is openly telling students the teachers don't use their prep time efficiently that sounds like another form of dysfunction from the top.

My parents were teachers and sometimes used their preps to catch their breath just like other professions have breaks, one prep to prep for potentially 6 different classes doesn't really suffice so they ended up prepping at home where it was comfortable and quiet. Prep periods are kind of a joke at this point.

Nope, kids see them standing out in the hallways talking to each other when they are in class. Principal wouldnt say that, but kids aren’t idiots.
