Didn't mean to take over your countdown plan Rulzzz, full speed ahead with it Cap'n!

It's all good. Wbb is what brought me to cf. When doing number research last night it reminded of how many special people have played regardless if they were a starter or last one off the bench.

Some of my most amazing memories as a Cyclone fan have been from wbb.

To the rough early days where they had to put crime scene tape to sold-out game against Iowa last year it's been amazing.

I had been in a funk for awhile the last decade or so where it was focused around a star but last season was my most enjoyable in years.

I just love a more team concept as I believe that's how past Cyclones teams I enjoyed most were made from that mold.

If you have a good resource to refer to, this one is fun to scroll through just for the memories:

I went to some of the women's games knowing some of the players on the team. One from my conference in high school ended up playing for the Cyclones. Then, in playing pick-up basketball at ISU, some of the women's team would be there in the off season. They were fundamentally sound and would pass the ball, and if you set a pick they would use it. I even got to ref one of their scrimmages in Hilton. It was fun to go to games when you knew some of the players. I don't personally know any of the members of the team today, but with so many games on TV, it feels like we know them.

In the early days my family that went to games if we didn't sit by Wild Bill we sat many times with Jayme Olson's folks.

Then later on as a student at ISU got to several players well as well as their families pretty much most of players from 04-11 or so.

Knowing players and families so well made wins sweeter but losses were devastating.

As the years have passed I don't have near that connection so that and fact that I'm older have made losses fall off my back more.

I agree that you do seem to know the current group well even without knowing them personally. A good chunk I think comes because of what they put out on social media.

Is attendance going to get even better now? Especially with the popularity of women's basketball right now?i
in the past, when it was my turn to potentially “upgrade” my tickets, there were always seats down low in the arena circle available.

This year there was nothing. I think that is a hint that sales are def ramping up.

Attendance definitely was ticking up at the end of last yr. Personally I think it was because we were fun to watch and a easy team to like more than the CC effect. The late 90s early 2000s were peak actual Attendance for wbb. It was getting near that towards the end of last yr. This is just one person's opinion that has been to a lot of ISU wbb games.

Day 37

Going old school and older school. One of my favorites from when I starting following the program Tara Gunderson and all time leader in steals Tracy Horvath. (22+15 for 37)

There are very few career and all-class single-season records in ISU WBB set prior to the Fennelly era:

Career rebounds per game: Stephannie Smith (10.02) -- had the advantage of being a juco transfer
Career steals: Tracy Horvath (233)
Career steals per game: Tracy Horvath (2.12)
Single-season steals: Tracy Horvath (92)
Single-season steals per game: Tracy Horvath (3.29)
