I was really surprised we saw Dominique Orange back in, from the replay of the hit he took from Brezinga I thought he broke his arm. Dodged a bullet there.
What is the status of Brezinga? It sounded like he was on the sideline trying to coach up the backup LBers, so I am hoping he will be okay for next week. The offense looks a lot better with a few guys coming back on line. Hopefully the defense will get some help soon.

I was guessing separated shoulder.

Not sure how many times I have seen a guy get hurt, take pads off, then put them back on and play. If ever. Maybe it was precautionary??

zero inside info but... My guess on Brezina was something like concussion protocol or an injury thats minor.
Pretty sure he went out o. A noncontact play. Took a really awkward step on a qb scramble. Looked to me like a tweaked knee. Apparently he was coaching players on the sideline afterwards and did not Looked dejected, so that's cool

It says a lot to the quality of our depth and great coaching and preparation that we've been able to play through all the injuries on defense that we have so far. Even with McCarney's good teams, a couple injuries like we have had this season there was a HUGE drop off from 1 to 2 on the depth chart. We have guys making days on defense that has you got going "who the heck is this guu?" and checking the roster when they come in. Was talked about on the post game radio how we have guys that coming into the season and even games that were not expecting to play much that are coming in and making impact plays and look prepared when they come in and that says a lot about the system and culture we have right now.

If we had another get injured (LB) we would be at the stage of probably moving guys from safety to LB. Cam Smith seems like a bigger dback who could do that. Same with Drew Surges.

But man, the injuries to the D have been brutal. If i had known we would have this many out I would have guessed we would be 3-2 at this point. This team has resolve and resiliency.

Why not all the other LBs on the roster? Rosters are so big with all the walkons, it might be hard to list them all off.

40 Mason Miller - 3 star true freshman.
42 Lance McShane - true freshman walkon
46 Danny Inglis - 3 star true freshman.
51 Nick Reinicke - RS freshman walkon

Actually, its super easy, barely an inconvenience.

I think they were off because they taped him up. What was a bit odd was he sat with the pads off for a while before suiting back up and coming in. Maybe they were waiting on some imaging results or something before letting him play?
