2024-25 ISU WBB Season Thread

This is what I was afraid of. Deep everywhere on the court but at the 5

Who even steps in the first couple weeks of the season to give Audi a breather/in case of foul trouble/when the rout is on.

Feels weird not having at least a project in the post.

On offense we don't need a true post when Audi is on the bench. We can have whomever post up. On defense, we have several 6'2" players who can attempt post defense.

That said, Audi has shown the capacity to play more minutes than any of us expected. Also, five weeks gets Lilly back before we start playing anyone real. Let's hope the timeline is correct.

This. We won’t need anyone early on. She goes to the bench and potentially the style of the team changes forcing other teams to have to adjust. This team is truly “next woman up."

What was of importance in the Fennelly interview is what he said about Tanke. Higher basketball IQ than what they thought (major compliment). ALWAYS in the right spot on the court. Ready to play now.

He said all 12 girls on this team are good enough to play this year, but all 12 can’t be given meaningful minutes. Lots of competition for minutes right now. It will be interesting to see how he handles his rotation this year.

With seven new players hitting the court it's going to take me a bit to immediately recognize them all. Might need some flashcard study.

Wondering if first polls come out next Monday or on the 21st. Pre-season AP was Oct 18 last year. Will be interesting to see how voters forecast the Top 25 after all of the portal recruiting dust has settled.

Because the Big Ten released its TV schedule after the Big 12, so it was still TBD at the point of ISU/Big 12 release..

Rewatched on cyclones.tv the classic game of the Cyclone-Baylor women's basketball game when Anna Prins and Griner were Freshmen. Prins hitting threes and the good gals won by about 25 after leading by over 30 at one point.

Wife and I decided to get season tickets to the WBB today, and I got online and ordered them. Is parking for the games free or do we need a pass to get into the lots.
