Fun read!
I love Brown's response about being on an island…

#12 Baylor
#13 KSU
#16 WVU

Former Big 12ers:
#4 Texas
#10 Oklahoma

Damn, league would be almost as tough as the MBB if we still had TX and OU. Do agree with Texas at #4 rather than UCLA. If the season finishes like the prediction, we could have four teams hosting in March, better than I might have predicted.

Receiving votes and of interest #26 Iowa #27 TCU #28 Utah

Since we have a few days to discuss this, which one of last year's final four teams do we have the best shot at this year?

I actually think Iowa is rated too low, I know they have a "new" coach and missing CC but they still have some great talent.

I would say Iowa. It crazy that we are playing both #1 and #2 in the Noncon

Looking at the schedule and rankings, depth will be critical. Second to staying healthy for the season. Preseason #8 is fun, but can’t wait till this team hits the court.

I think they are ranked just about right all things considered. They do have a good class coming in and expect they will get better than they start out. Won't be surprised to see them ranked by late winter. They graduated four seniors so it's going to take a bit for the new peeps to gel.

At Iowa obviously. Going to be a fun match up with a sold out crowd on national TV.

Looking forward to Crooks going up against the Hawks freshman Ava Heiden. Heiden is 6'-4". Not sure what kind of upper body strength she has but she sure looks like she has a strong lower body. Nobody is going say to her at the gym "Girl, do you even do legs?"

Completely agree. I’ve been saying all along that I was gonna have some road bumps in the beginning, but they will definitely get better as the season goes on and the freshman integrate. By the end of the season, they could easily be a sweet 16 team.

Will need to see how the transition to Jan Jensen goes - I think her more than capable but will need to see how they fill her role as top assistant. It is also a lot different being in the top spot for her so will see if there is any growing pains. Also the offense will need to adjust - Olsen is much more of a mid-range shooter so court spacing will be much different than the previous four years. - Tldr version - I am in a wait and see position.
