Utah slowly slipping away

Baylor fans have never really annoyed me. I was just upset/outraged about how the institution itself was basically a rape ring that saw almost no institutional punishment. It was basically like the Penn State scandal except it was exposed in real time and it still go the same "nothing we can do to punish the institution" response.

Utah it's just pure arrogance among the fans, like they are just really bad people. It's like KU basketball fans...except they don't have KU basketball history, not even close. I mean if Utah had kind of invented football, been in our conference for a century, had a few national championships under its belt and made the CFP almost every year I'd get it. In reality, they are all quite insane.

Penn St fans were pretty bad during their scandal. They still lionized Joe Paterno and defended him hard during the various accusations.

Could be. I'm starting to wonder if KSU at home is the toughest though.
Looking at K State on the road, I'm not sure I agree. They have two one possession wins at Tulane and Colorado and then a 30 point loss at BYU. When you start looking at Colorado, their wins are against two of the worst teams in the big 12, K State barely winning there should be a huge red flag.

They are certainly not guaranteed a win at Colorado, and they aren't beating both ISU and BYU. Houston could improve by the time they play them as well.
Idk, Colorado's resume is still really bad, playing K State close seems a lot more about K State, who has been awful on the road than anything the Buffs showed. Colorado looks better than last year but looking at their wins, there isn't much there. NDSU might be their most impressive win, Colorado St is bad, Baylor and UCF are 1-5 combined in league play.

in fairness to both CU and Kstate, ISU only has one good win on the season.

Utah's inflated self-importance is more funny than destructive.

Texas' inflated self-importance almost sent us to the MAC or the MWC.

Gimme one nuke and it's headin' for Austin before SLC.
It’s funny because they don’t have anywhere better to go. Texas always had the credible threat of jumping to the B10, SEC, PAC (if they ditched the LHN) or maybe going independent.

Utah can’t do any of those things. If they’re in a truck stop conference, it’s only because they’re a truck stop program. Everyone outside the fanbase sees that, but nobody inside does.

I think I like TexaSS more than Utah. Never thought that was even possible.
Once it became apparent Utah's fan base is one of the most arrogant fan bases around, I instantly became a BYU fan. I really don't know how their fans put up with the Utes. I know it seems like Iowa fans can be arrogant at times, but the Utes are at a different level.

And if I recall, it seems the cyclone fans that went to the game in Provo last year had a good time and the BYU fans were very respectful of visitors

Yep. Utah is a church mouse threatening to kick our ass.

The pathetic nature of the threat is sometimes funny and sometimes annoying but never scary.

Texas was the T-1000 threatening to kick our ass.

It was scary because of how well we know they could do it if they wanted to.

They eventually did it and it wasn't as bad as I feared it could be, though.

The Mormons are just so nice, too.

where does that ute think they would go? they had about as much of a chance ISU getting picked up by the b1g or sec. simply wasn't going to happen.
They strike me as one of those places that thinks their "Academics" make them a fit for the prestigious Big 10.

Utah may be like a wanna-be Nebraska, without it's past glory. Some recent success, terrible, nauseating fans, worse than kNeb by quite a bit it seems, and hopefully on a downward trend, in their new sh!thole of a conference. I feel for them, I really do.

I hope they wind up like kNeb, never sniffing their past glory, fleeting as it was, and never making it to the P2.

Why would the P2 want them again? Wish we never took 'em. It will give us an annual villain to root against. There's that I guess.
