Nashville hot chicken. Recipe easy to find online. If you like the ease of pulled pork, but want spicy instead of sweet or smoky.

Basically pulled chicken, in a hot sauce. Just throw some on a bun with a little ranch and some dill pickles. Delish and really easy to deal with.
I would definitely try that, but the rest of my family doesn't like spicy foods.

More for me, I guess.

usually wait until colder games to do pizzas as you have to spread all the ingredients out and dont want them to spoil in the heat

have only done 1 per season. its more work as you can only do 1 pizza at a time and each are individual.

I did pizzas for the UNI game last year. You do need a couple people helping because you go through pellets fast and you need someone to assemble the pizzas quickly. The pizzas cook in about a minute and my friends were not prepared for how quickly they cooked. I recommend buying the pre-made crusts just to make it easier to assemble (even though they aren't as good). If your group is organized, you can cook a ton of pizzas in a short time.

Thanks. I have only had my oven (Gozney Arc XL) since 4th of July, and the most pizzas I have done in one session is 9. Which honestly would be plenty for my tailgate for my family of 4!

Premade crust seems like cheating, but it would make life a lot easier.

I've parbaked some crusts as well because homemade crusts on my pizza oven (Big Horn) can be a little dough-ey.

Those are great options, but OP specifically asked for crockpot ideas.. did you just purposefully give all your ideas that DON'T involve a crockpot?
Hey, tailg8er, how's that tailgating equipment I donated working out for you this season? Brought you some luck!

Taco bowls or walking tacos. Make your taco meat ahead of time and warm it up in a crockpot. We do these at least once per season. Bring a long a smattering of fixin's and let her rip.
Walking tacos are a staple with us! Cook the beef the day before, warm up in the crockpot. Everyone gets to add whatever they want and they are portable/easy to eat while standing.

I cook a pkg of philly meat with a tube of chorizo. Put it on rice, add black beans, cilantro, red onion, cheese, corn, guac... damn that's good.

It's been great, we've put most of it to use most home games (even with the wind)! Appreciate it man!

You can make this (or any buffalo chicken dip) that's pretty approachable. My wife used to be fundamentally opposed to anything spicier than teriyaki sauce and she liked a well-balanced buff chick dip.

Marinated a flank steak last year and then put it on the Blackstone grill. I put the sliced peppers and onions on flat top side at the same time. When the veggies were sauteed, I warmed the tortillas up on flat top. Fajitas in less than 30 minutes.

Smashed pulled pork is also hit! Take an amount of already made pulled pork , about the size of a tennis ball and then smash it down to however thin you want it. Butter a few buns and put on the flat top to brown. I alway put BBQ sauce on each side of the bun and will either use bread and butter or dill pickle slices (home grown and canned) on them. Awesome!

I think some of the best things we've made for tailgate usually were more of the breakfast foods. We've done steak and eggs for an 11am game, usually do some kind of breakfast scramble for those early games too with some kind of protein(s) and do eggs, some kind of potatoes, and fresh vegetables in a skillet or on the grill, we did some marinated flank steak breakfast burritos for the 1pm game this year that turned out awesome. One of the guys I tailgate with brought his Weber kettle and slow cooked some ribs 1 game this year, we've also done steak sandwiches before. Something really simple to do are chicken wings or drumsticks, they grill fast and you can go different directions with flavors or sauces.

Duh!
We did an egg bake in a crockpot for one of the early starts. Wild turkey chili planned for TTU game. Shredded beef sandwiches this weekend. Through a roast in the crockpot with some beef stock, ranch packet and peppercinis and serve on a hoagie bun with mozzarella and horsey sauce. We usually do BBQpulled pork for a game too with coleslaw on top, probably do this for Cinci game.

Not crock pot, but highly recommend if annyone is looking for gadgets to add to your tailgate, get a hot dog roller. Easy way to cook and people can grab them as they are hungry, but this weekend super dogs are on the menu!
