That last one is so forgotten. There were grown men crying on the hill as the team took the field. Such a weird year obviously but the first regular season championship ever. It was surreal. Honestly makes this year sweeter because it feels like what that year should have felt like with out all the Covid stuff.

We would of packed the Jack for those November games if not for COVID. I kept my season tickets and was part of the 15k folks that were allowed to attend the game and we had some great late season weather to go with what was the best season we had under Campbell prior to this season. Was saying it during the WVU game when it was hoodie weather on Dec 5th how much fun it would have been to tailgate and have a packed house for that matchup. We probably would of had a huge crowd for the Fiesta Bowl too on a normal year.

2018 WV was the most fun game I've ever been to. Top 10 team, Heisman contender at QB, and we dominated the game from the opening kick off. Not the most exciting, or best game, but just incredibly satisfying. Crowd was jacked all game.

2011:against OSU will be my top forever. I go back a lot further and beating Nebraska in 77 at Lincoln was priceless.

In that 2006 Mizzou game, I remember Ryan Kock having a monster game that day. Earlier in the season, I was upset the Kock wasn't getting more carries. He got that start and was awesome. Not sure what his stats were for that day, though.

ISU absolutely made the mistake of not using their Kock more that year.

Here is my Dime!

1989 vs. Ohio University. My first game @ Iowa State! Blaise Bryant had a night.

1991 vs. Colorado: Lost, but I was there! That was before I became a "fair-weather" fan.

1992 vs. Nebraska: The Cyclones were so perfect that day.

1993 vs. K-State: Cost the Kitties a potential Fiesta Bowl bid, and I knew then that I wanted an ISU program like Bill Snyder was building at KSU. I actually mentioned that to a disconsolate Wildcat fan on the way out of the stadium.

1996 vs. Mizzou: Troy Davis 378 yards

2001 vs. Mizzou: Seneca Wallace 493 yards

2020 vs. West Virginia: Wrapped up the best record in the Big Xii with that win.

2021 vs. Okla. State: The Cowboys were THIS CLOSE to a first down!

2021: vs. Texas: Walk-Off by Connor Assalley!

2024 vs. UCF: Just pure joy with the dramatic comeback win.

Let's Go State!

I kept my season ticket too, but I only made it to the TT and WVU games. Although, I did scoot down to Lawrence for the KU game. All three games were AWESOME! What a team that was.

The circumstances surrounding this game makes me think about how crazy an atmosphere the K-state game could be this year...

Watching that warms my heart, but makes me laugh at same time. How college sports have changed and interaction with media. Has a Wayne's World vibe to me.:D

One of my favorites was the opener in 1995 against Ohio. Why, you might ask. The fans tore down the goal posts because it was the first win following an 0-10-1 season. Those were the days.

The UCF game was pretty dry for most of it, but that ending sequence was one of the loudest games I've ever been to. It was deafening after we scored the final TD and 2PT.

It was dry but the 1 step forward, 3 steps back rhythm of the game really helped make the lady minute exciting.

I get around
Iowa State beating Nebraska in 37-28 in 1976. Something that just didn't happen than. And we beat them in Lincoln the next year as a "prove it"

Honorable mention, a whole slew of Troy Davis games where he ran for crazy yards.
That 1976 Nebraska game had the capacity crowd in an uproar the whole game. Crowd pleasers:

-Pre-game, a guy parachuted into the stadium and touched down at the 50 yard line. Crowd goes nuts.
-We ran the ball on Nebraska. At least two touchdowns were scored by plunging right up the middle of their vaunted defensive line. Take that Black Shirts!
-Luther Blue's kickoff return for a touchdown. Speed to burn.
-We switched between two quarterbacks the whole game, Stanley and Hardeman.
-Maynard Stensrud was crazy on defense. QB sacks, hurries, fumble recovery, etc.
-Dexter Green tore them up running and receiving.
-The goalposts went into Lake LaVerne.
-The weather was crisp and cool, the beer was cold.

I know you said 20 years, but Nebraska and Tech in 2002 was great. Also, the Nebraska game in 2010 could have been an all timer if we complete that fake extra point. Texas 2015 should be an honorable mention.
Nebraska 2002 came to my mind as well. Loved Pete's call at the end: "It may not be the Nebraska of old, but it certainly is the Cyclones of new"
