Why not? Because he plays for Iowa and Korver didn’t?

Sandfort is an exact clone from a size and usage persecutive (slightly bigger, in all honesty). Korver had better shooting stats, but the line has been moved back since then too.
Thou shalt not compliment a hawk player, ever, because **** Iowa.

Why do we misrepresent player heights to make our point?
I assume this is somewhat pointed at my comment. If not, that’s cool, but if so, can you help me understand what you mean? I certainly didn’t misrepresent anything statistically and “height” is pretty important in the game of basketball. Why did Korver succeed in the league and not Jimmer Fredette?

What did Sandfort measure at the NBA combine and what was Korver's listed NBA height?

Look…I want Gilbert on my team any day of the week, but I’m not having a cow with Sandfort being ranked higher in something like this.

Sandfort showed me last year that he can be VERY hard to defend. He’s 6’8” 215 and shoots the **** out of the ball. Has better handles than people will give him credit for too. I’m not saying he can run the point for ya, but a fast break opportunity isn’t going to slow down if the ball is in his hands. Remember, Kyle Korver (6’7” 212) made a hell of a living in the league.
Sandfort is a pure shooter

In my opinion, Korver succeeded because of his 3 point shot. In addition, he played adequate defense for his position, and he knew how to play without the ball. Fredette's game required him to be ball centric because he is volume scorer.

I could see him as a 3 point specialist in the G-League that gets spot minutes in circumstantial situations, but I don't see him as big minutes guy.

He's a solid shooter and a good player in the right system. He'd have done really well on a Hoiberg team. Compared to everyone on TJ's team, he is Charmin soft, though.

Is Sandfort a better NBA prospect? Possibly why he got the bump?
He tried the NBA draft process this year. At the combine he was 0-7 from 3 in 33 minutes of game action. Had a three quarter sprint (whatever that is) that was slower than Zach Edey and only faster than Donovan Clingan. A standing vert of 22 inches, worst at the combine. And a max vert or 28 inches, second to worst. He’s hardly a draftable NBA prospect with those numbers

Some people can’t make fair assessment because of their hatred of Hawkeyes. Sanfort is bad defensively but he is a prolific shooter.
