Iowa State Uniform Discussions (update: new basketball unis)

My wife is a UCF grad (not much of a sports fan, though).

I told her we were doing the "blackout" thing on Saturday night.

She didn't get it.

"Why do that against a black team like UCF?"

They will have some white players.

I guess because.. we do what we want... and we dont care what other schools wear or their colors are?

Iowa State was smart to not do faux leather helmets like Illinois. Never looks good.

Actually it was probably because we couldn't pay for/didn't want to waste money for a one off helmet lol. But either way our Ames helmets were better.

In honor of Cy's birthday, I wish they'd slap the regular, old walking Cy sticker on those black helmets. I really think that would pop with the black as the background. I don't personally enjoy the black uniforms, but this compromise would go a long way to swinging my opinion.

Bring out the gold pants. Please. Some contrast with the Tech red/black/white mixture.

I just want to see them once this season. Prove they're not a fever dream.
