I really think we are still inside the top 20. I will say 17. But the ranking doesn’t matter now as it’s win the Big 12 as the only ticket into this thing.

There’s an extremely, very unlikely path if we lose in the B12 championship. The three SEC teams between us and 12 have probable eliminating losses still on the schedule: Ole Miss vs UGa, LSU vs Bama, A&M vs Texas.

Then, if SMU and Notre Dame stumble (SMU before ACC championship) and we lose to an undefeated BYU in the B12 championship we could snag that last at large.

Yeah… but not practically though. Their place in the bracket would be the same even if they were ranked 5th.

I could see the argument of them swapping with Miami maybe.

While this is true committee not supposed to think that way. BYU easily most screwed, and leads me to exactly what I always thought. We are a 1 bid league.

A.) It’s week 11, things will certainly change moving forward. If they keep winning, they’ll likely move up

B.) Had we won last week, I’m certain both BYU and ISU would have been in the field during this reveal

C.) If the outcome for BYU is the same, regardless of the committee’s thinking, is it worth getting outraged? I would be right there with you if they had BYU out of the field or gave Boise State that 4th bye
