What's up with scheduling?

We have 8 weeks to play 11 games, and 3 of them are in 3 days in Maui.
Yeah I mentioned this in another thread. Probably because we play an extra conference game so they took away one of non-con games? Usually I think we play at least four games before the early season tournament. Kinda lame but they're bad games anyways I guess.
They took away 2 didn't they? I think we only have 11 non-conference games now instead of 13.

The league made a mistake by not sticking a league game or two in December like every other league that plays 20 does. Makes for some long breaks without games.

Definitely hurts our ranking each week as we only play one game. Dropped to 7th today
Maybe, but dropping this week was due to who teams behind them beat. If ISU played this KC team last week, they still would've been bypassed by Auburn and Gonzaga, because of who they beat.
Because of the fiestonth festivals, players need recovery time from those.
Just remember that sentiment come tourney time when we get stuck with a 2 seed when we deserved a 1 seed.
I think the schedule is tough enough that we’ll get what we earned. Slipping a couple spots in November isn’t going to affect that.
I'm more just bored lol. It's like 4 or 5 weeks out of the season where we are playing cupcakes. It makes it worse when it's one game a week. Oh well.

If the Cyclone team takes care of business during Thanksgiving week the previous rankings won't make a lick of difference. There is plenty of quality there for ISU to get national notice if they manage to win it all.
Iowa St was a 2 instead of 1 last season because they had a bad non con schedule. Shouldn't be an issue this year.
