Anyone else think that Kansas doesn’t look like the number one team? I mean, they played really good competition in their first 3 games but it just seems something odd about them. Maybe they just haven’t gelled yet.
They are better when their unanimous 1st team all conference, player of the year center is on the bench.

It's November. Not even mid-November haha.

KU for several years has had a trend of looking quasi so-so for 2-3 months and then some Tuesday night in early February they start putting their opponents on skates.

Thank ****. Feels like Dickinson has been playing for 8 years.
I would like to see an NCAA rule change that allows red shirting like in football. Allow freshman to play something like 10 or fewer games and redshirt. This would continue this trend of older seniors that Covid has created, and makes for better basketball IMO. But would also make it seem like some players have been at rivals for way too long.

I think its more likely we just end up in a 5 to play 5 situation with no redshirts

The 'only play a certain number of games' thing doesn't work so well in the NIL era when players will shut it down at the threshold so they can make sure they maximize their earnings in the future.

Haha I definitely didn't see him going to UCLA.
I think Chris Mack will climb back up to a good job. He was my other idea but he needs to stay put in Charleston for a couple years.
Like, he'd be a good fit to succeed Pitino at St Johns.

Why? That rule has been disastrous for CFB. You’ll see kids sit out after the November tournaments if their teams aren’t winning. Or worse, their team wins and someone gets in their ear to redshirt and transfer.

I could get behind it if they also bring back the sit a year for transfers with no exceptions.

Disastrous? It lets kids get a little run, while still redshirting. It’s very important for a developmental program like ISU.

It would probably need to be limited to underclassman.

It also lets boosters of other programs to get in a kid’s ear to redshirt and transfer a few games into a season. Again, I think it could work with some guard rails in place. But the NCAA doesn’t seem to have the power or desire to put those guard rails in place.
