I fear I might be watching the wrong channel. The games I’ve watched, I’m not seen much of anything from Chatfield. I’m not seeing a player that can contribute much against talented squads, and looks to be an obvious downgrade from Rob, in all phases. Slow and unathletic…and he’s not finishing around the hoop or securing that many ‘tough’ rebounds.

Heise is solid as a rock. Won’t need to “score” much. He does need to knock down those open corner 3’s though.
I remember when he was a polished 6th year senior after his 3rd game in an ISU uniform too.

Honestly, I think Watson should be eating some of Chatfeild's minutes. Watson is a proven bench player and so far Chatfeild has been okay at best. Hopefully he ends up being a stud, but so far.......ehh. Watson deserves more minutes IMO. I do like the minute split with Heise and Nojus so far. Let the best man win.

I’m suprised JT Rock isn’t getting those Chapman minutes. Chapman is not adding much and it would be good to get Rock some time against these bad teams. I realize he is young though. Also, I trust coach more than I trust me on subs

Are they dropping back down to 18 B12 games again after this upcoming season?

How was everyone's ESPN+ feed? I have fiber but the sound would cut out or the picture would go to crayon quality quite often.
I commented last game - couldn’t be more impressed with the quality. Crystal clear broadcast, lightning fast, easily fast forward and rewind on Apple TV, iPad, etc. Worked great again tonight.

This team already looks and feels better than last years team. Returning 4 leading scorers and upgrading in the post has been fun to see
Jackson and Jefferson look like (polished) upgrades for sure.

Does anyone really know, what TJs thought is though? He knows what he has in Watson so maybe play Chatfield to see what ge can do? Maybe trying to get Watson a little hungry for more playing time? I have no idea.

It's fun to speculate but I know damn well, that TJ has made way more right choices than wrong ones in his tenure as coach, in a environment that 99.9% of this board would fold under. Basically having to rerecruit everyone every yr and then figure out what new pieces to bring in.

Game thoughts I thought there was a run about 5 minutes into the 2nd half where we got sloppy on offense seemed like we worked through it OK.

Disappointed in the student turn out wasn't better.

First time I've ever seen a ref get a standing O in Hilton. Glad he made it off the court under his own power

Only slightly disappointing thing so far is not seeing more Demarion Watson. Good things happen when he's on the floor, but I get it. We're DEEP. I can't help but think that he'll play a key role in a few games due to matchups.
Agree, he does positive thing when on the floor and can guard multiple positions. I think he gets more PT as we get deeper into the season.

but hes big!

yeah, he won't see much PT in Big 12 play.

Maui will be a good gauge for where he's at but if he wants to get 8-10 mins a game he'll need to improve.
