Guy is literally trying to make the argument that it’s better for the SEC to take more losses so the 6th place team doesn’t feel left out and get sad. Insane.

Anyways, back to ISU/Big 12. As it’s been stated before, that TT loss will give me nightmares if we win out and lose a tiebreaker.
(You responding is 50% of the problem. It's ok not to engage.)

Thats exactly what i'll be like.....BUT, i then have to remind myself of the UCF win and the idea of "championship teams" need to not leave it up to others.

But yes, would be a brutal "what if" if we are tied. I'll give KU their win as we just didn't have a chance that day.

For a conference? Literally EVERYTHING. More teams in = more money to distribute to the conference.
They ALREADY GET MORE MONEY regardless.

Where's the goal post moving next?

Under the new CFP arrangement, Big Ten and SEC members are set to each receive about $21 million annually, according to multiple reports, while ACC programs get approximately $13 million and Big 12 members $12 million.

Screw it, let's just introduce relegation.

Top 8 finishers this year go into B12 Division 1 next season. All others go into B12 Division 2.

Each division plays a round robin, and only those games count towards CCG selection. They play two other games to fulfill the TV contract but don't matter in division standings.

D1 #1 gets a CCG bye
D1 #2 plays D2 #1 for the right to play the D1 #1 in the CCG.

Bottom two teams in D1 relegate down to D2 the following season. Top two teams in D2 move up to D1 the following season.

Yeah, this is terrible, but it's fun at least.

SEC WILL NEVER GET LESS THAN 4 TEAMS. HOW HARD IS IT FOR YOU IDIOTS TO UNDERSTAND THAT.

A TWO LOSS SEC TEAM LEFT OUT IS GOING TO CAUSE CHOAS
My guy, everyone disagreeing with you is not a sign of your superior intelligence.

Congrats you have your two friends agree with you pal. I'm 100% sure the fanbase left out will not care about how much money they made. That's just you and your boys. lmao

Not to pile on, but there are a lot of us lurkers who also disagree with you. Part of me isn't quite sure if you're being serious.

And I think you are putting way to much weight into how the left out fanbase feels. That is completely irrelevant to this entire discussion.

You're totally right, the commissioner should definitely care more about the feelings of one school than the well-being of the conference. Makes you wonder why they haven't made the change yet.

The fall out will be worse than FSU last year, I can guarantee that. I really don't care what happens. The SEC believe they are superior conference and should get at least 6 teams in. Issue (or benefit) with playing 8 teams in a 16 team league is you can have multiple teams go undefeated, or end up with same amount of L's. And first year of the new conference with expanded playoff, the latter is happening. Which will lead to chaos in the SEC world. You already have SEC coaches questioning going to the SEC champ game.

For this week, it's Go Cyclones, Jayhawks, Sun Devils, and Cowboys, I believe. The "good news" is that if we win, there is no scenario that can eliminate us from contention this week (I think).

Yeah, this is terrible, but it's fun at least.

Just create divisions based on the previous year’s result. Odd ranked teams in one division, even in the other. Cause once you introduce a multi-week conference championship, the SEC will take that another step and just use it to blow up the CFP completely.

SEC and Big10 have 6 member conference playoffs in each league. Champions then face off in National Championship game.

Way up there
Am I the only one who's cringing a bit about a potential Colorado matchup. BYU and ISU fanbases will be compared to and treated like Caitlin Clark fans for simply wanting the team they for root to win. It's been really ugly for any Colorado opponent all year on social media. The demographics of our fan base will play right into their hands.
