The bigs are currently the weak link defensively. They’re missing assignments and coverages right now but that’s what I expected. They will continue to improve at that. They clearly won’t have the rim protection we may have had last year.

At the very least the ACC isn't going to get to ***** about our nonconference schedule this year... or that's what I'd like to say, but that will still probably happen. It'll just hold a lot less water this year.

Some of the worst D we’ve see from ISU in a while. Rotations were slow and we gave up way too many shots at the rim. I’m sure it will be addressed in practice. Didn’t help that Dayton was getting away with moving screens almost every possession.

Their guard play is not as good as Daytons. Dayton guards are good

It's great to get conference-level games in the early season. The physicality of this game felt Big XII-ish.

Dayton still has home games in December against Marquette and Cincinnati. They definitely have opportunities to boost their resume.

I agree, Hurley seems more concerned about screaming at officiating all night and in press conferences than winning close games. His technical last night was incredibly stupid
