Not a hater but unsure if hitting his first two 3s vs Auburn was a good deal for a sub career 30% shooter. Sign me up for his FT shooting clinic though!
Haha I agree... but he has a great motor. More than just his points out there. I do think he was put in a bad spot at the end of the auburn game. Fts today in a clutch moment we're huge!

Fizer would’ve eaten his lunch down low. Fizer also weighed 30 pounds heavier, and was built like a brick shithouse.
I liked how we got Jackson involved down low tonight. I think he will be able to hold his own in the Big 12.

Hopefully he gets better as the year goes, and he will. He's got some muscle and should not be afraid to use it.

I feel like we are about there. Talent is undeniable. 2 points:

1. We have our last defender doing too many double teams leaving the lane open. A lot of times that is unnecessary double spots, easy pass right by the rim for layup/dunk. Keep the doubles for the corners or up by midcourt. Doubles are for a corner or for a good post inside, we were doubling the elbow, etc.

2. Need to keep the ball moving more on O.

I'm a bit concerned for Tamin Lipsy. He doesn't seem right. Don't know if he's injured or what...

ISU is gonna play Colorado 4 times this year aren’t they?

Why not five?

Three are locks.

Run into them in KC.

Colorado has a surprising year and sneaks into the NCAA tournament as a #11 seed.

Bumps into #2-seed Iowa State in the third round.

Didn’t see much of Anthony Grant tonight, which means he has more poise than Hurley. Pulling for them tomorrow, for both our benefit and to give Hurley the 0-3 outing.
Biggest knock on Grant is not tucking the polo in.

CU: 10-14% of the season

At least it’s only at altitude once.
Could be 4 games this year, 5 if we somehow meet in the tournament.

If it gets that far, no way CU & ISU would be in the same bracket.

On D, it seems like a lot of the problem tonight was that the bigs weren’t moving quick enough the ice the ball screens, and Dayton’s guards would get around far enough to pass or go to the hole. For all of Rob Jones’ faults, he was as good as it gets at staying in front of a guard off the ball screen or forcing the guard back far enough to allow the other defender to catch up.
