Colorado game back in the day was the coldest I have ever been to in my life. There were seriously like 1000 people at the game. They were just allowing people to come into the club section to warm up. That was before the suites were available.
Frankly the OSU game seemed a hell of lot colder.
KU 2013 was one of the finest tailgates we ever had. Everything just came together with a group of people who were suffering equally as only Cyclone fans can understand. We had to put our coolers inside the RV in order to keep the beer inside the coolers from freezing. All of us took turns in and out of the RV due to space. The people on the outside got to pass the Fireball around and the people on the inside got to warm up. Good times, good times....The 2013 KU game we snuck some Coors Lights in and never seen the mountains on the cans as blue as they were that day. We actually had to keep the beers inside our coats as if we let them sit out too lo g they were freezing and becoming beer slushies.
We were all wrapped in sleeping bags.I thought the exact same thing!
I attended '84 KSU and '85 OSU also.
Oklahoma State upset was awesome, I also had advantage of some "beveraging." I probably did for K-State, too, but that game was a dud during a bad season. Still stayed for the whole thing!
I was at Chiefs vs Dolphins playoff game in KC in January. Saturday will be downright balmy in comparison.Thinking kickoff temperature is around 20° on Saturday night. Got me thinking about the coldest games at Jack Trice (and Clyde Williams) That'd be up in the Top 5 if the forecast holds! List below.

Here's the list that Iowa State has for home games. I'm going to double check data going back further in time just to see if there's another that sneaks in. (I was doing this for Iowa and found their coldest to be way back in the 1890s)
8° - Kansas - 2013 (Night where my thumbnail picture comes from)
17° - Colorado - 1991
20° - Missouri - 1979
20° - San Jose St. - 1959
21° - Kansas State - 1995
22° - Texas Tech - 2022
22° - Oklahoma State - 1985
25° - Kansas State - 1993
26° - Nebraska - 1976
28° - Kansas - 2000
28° - Kansas State - 2003
30° - TCU - 2021
31° - Kansas State - 1984
How many were you at? Are there some not on there that surprise you?

I was at that one (I have a crazy stat of prior to starting college at Iowa State the team was 10-0 in games I attended which from in the span of 1985-1995 is pretty tough to do) I don't remember that one being that cold and the highlights don't look like players or fans rushing the field were terribly bundled up. Could have been adrenaline though.I remember the 1992 Marvin Seiler game against Nebraska being really cold. The restrooms were filled during halftime of people trying to stay warm. All huddled around the troughs.
Apparently not cold enough to make the top 10
I thought the same thing. I've been thinking all week getting myself mentally prepared "well at least it won't be as cold as TT two years ago".Man I thought that 2022 Tech game was colder than that. Maybe it was just because of the snow on the ground
1000 percent this, my group still talks about that tailgate and game to this day. Incredibly memorable!2013 KU game between two bad teams near the end of the season was the most fun football game I have ever attended. The absolute sicko energy was palpable. Don't miss out on this chance at a cold weather game, bundle up and get to Jack Trice on Saturday.
Was at that one too. I would have put money it would have made the top ten at least but apparently not. I'll tell you the upper decks at least was really cold. May have been more of a wind chill factor.I remember the 1992 Marvin Seiler game against Nebraska being really cold. The restrooms were filled during halftime of people trying to stay warm. I was one of those 1,000 more or less, since they didn't even take tickets for game. Everyone was huddled in the back rows of the lower bow right next to the concrete walls. I remember the band on the field pregame with their heavy coats on and the snow swirling around on the green ice rink.
