Sure it stings - but only because we blew a lead. Auburn is imo the best team in the country and we lost to them by 2 on a neutral floor. Anyone acting like not winning that game has affected or will affect anything tournament-wise negatively is just being dramatic.
Not saying ISU will have a pretty enough record but that’s the type of game that seals up the 1 seed or at the very least bumps you up a seed line.

ISU got hosed last year seeding wise. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to wish we had played more prestigious teams that people on the committee overvalue.
Last year ISU played a lot of tomato cans and had a bad Thanksgiving tourney. And they still got a very good seed

Dayton was picked to finish 2nd in A10 they are a huge win. And a win like this for the net score will bump them way up. Cuz the won by almost 30

A loss to Auburn is not going to hurt seeding at all.

He’s a power forward in a shooting guard body. He would make an excellent mid major player. He doesn’t have the size to play regular minutes with his skill set at this level. If he were 3 inches taller and 20 pounds heavier, he would be an all conference caliber guy.
Who said regular minutes? He looked good in spot minutes last 2 years and now he's not good enough for garbage minutes?

ISU plays Colorado in 33 days in Boulder.

Then again in Ames in February.

ISU could then theoretically play CU a 4th time in the Big XII tourney.

Even less likely, but hypothetically possible, ISU could play CU a 5th time in the NCAA tourney. lol
