I think Clemson will beat SMU next week and it's Acc that doesn't get the bye. Be interesting if they then get 2 in though with SMU and clemson? Good luck Cyclones. No guarantees but I think a win next week puts you into Quarterfinals
You should be right, but I don’t trust the committee. They’ll drop Clemson a little this week (lost to a ranked team, after all) but if they beat SMU (a top 10 team, you know) the urge to jump them back up above the ASU/ISU winner will be irresistible.

Sure but whoever was doing these rankings said he had Big 12 champ in all year and now doesn't.
Since Tulane lost I can’t see anyone seriously think the Big XII champion will be the sixth-highest conference champ. Then again, there’s a lot of unserious people out there doing rankings, so …

Why BYU over B12 champ loser? They were ranked behind both of them and (as much as I hate the eye test, the dumbasses on the committee use it) looked least impressive of the 3 yesterday
Based on current rankings, yes I think the only chance was going to be a 10-2 team outside the CCG. You’ve got three teams clustered together, two play and one is idle, the idle team is likely going to jump the CCG loser.

Boise isn’t screening anyone - the committee is.

I’m going to keep posting Boise’ wins that somehow have them as the 11th ranked team. Joke.

Georgia Southern
Portland State
Washington State
Utah State
Hawaii
UNLV
San Diego State
Nevada
San Jose State
Wyoming
Oregon State
UNLV is a ranked win. So, if they beat them again, that will be two ranked wins. More than Indiana, Penn State (unless they beat Oregon), Texas (especially after A&M drops out), ND, and SMU

Maybe it be easier to list who is in without any doubt.

I am not sure why people are stating we are going to get multiple teams in. The math and the rankings don’t add up. I wish that was the case and I think in other years where the league is stronger we may get 2.
—Big10 gets 4
—Sec gets 4 - they will argue they should have them all…lol
—notre dame will be a 5 seed ish

There is only 3 spots left for Boise, acc, big12

I will be really interested how they treat the sec on this. Would they strip them down and only give them 3? And remember if they feel like they get screwed they don’t just whine they threaten to start an entire new football league

Acc has Smu, Clemson and Miami fighting over 1 spot

So in my opinion big12 is a one bid league and on top of that if Boise doesn’t lose the big 12 winner will have to go on the road to play someone like notre dame, Ohio state, Tennessee, etc

So Boise is the one really screwing the league this year.

Miami being ranked 6th and losing their CCG was the path for ACC x2.

People are fooling themselves thinking ACC had two locked up or the Big 12 could sneak in a second.

Even Miami's path as #6 losing CCG was only because of their brand name. They wouldn't be #6 if they wernen't Miami. They'd have SMU's path which is win the ACC or you're out.

Miami's loss guaranteed Big Ten and SEC are only multi bid leagues. They will not punish all of these Big Ten and SEC schools for only having 12 pathetic data points the way they openly punished TCU to keep them out in 2014.

Clemson has a garbage resume. I think the only P5 team they beat that’s over .500 is Pitt, who has collapsed.

Would be shocked if big 12 got 2 in. Unless Boise loses, big 12 champ is probably the 12 seed going to Penn State/Oregon loser

I think there's a slim chance at 10/11 seed for ASU depending on what happens in this week's ranking, probably harder for ISU since they had us worse than the American Conference last week.

Oregon
Penn State
Ohio State
Indiana
Texas
Georgia
Tennessee
Notre Dame
MWC champion
Big XII champion
ACC champion

That‘s it. They’re in. All the drama comes down to the spot remaining, between Alabama/Miami/ACC loser if it’s SMU/maybe South Carolina or Ole Miss.

Don’t SC and Ole Miss have three like Bana?

The drama will be how Bama and Miami are seeded this week. Whoever is ahead will be cheering for SMU to knock Clemson out. But I can also see this committee ranking Miami ahead this week and have Bama jump them next week. They’ll trot out the commissioner and give a story to justify it. And the ESPN folks will eat up the story and praise him for his bravery.

I would be honestly very suprised I think ASU/Iowa State will have 2-3 spots on them this week. That'd be an unexplainable leap considering iowa state or Arizona state will also have a top 15 victory

Only edit I have is I think SMU’s in with a win or loss. If SMU wins, Bama, USC, and Miami arguing over that last spot, which Bama probably gets cause of the brand. If SMU loses all 3 are locked out imo

Yeah I think if Clemson and Boise win, then B12 and Boise gets the bye. Clemson plays top at large.

Ohio State losing will see Texas, Penn State, and Notre Dame move up. Ohio State/Georgia/Tennessee are all going to be there at 5/6/7, I think (oh, if only Georgia Tech had pulled out that 8-OT game).

Miami losing lifts Georgia/Tennessee/SMU/Indiana/Boise State. I’m guessing the top ten this week will be Oregon, Texas, Penn State, Notre Dame, Georgia, Ohio State, Tennessee, SMU, Indiana, Boise State, in something close to that order.

Clemson’s loss probably puts Alabama at 11. I’d jump South Carolina to 12 over Ole Miss at 13 (because of the Clemson win). Arizona State/Iowa State could be 14/15, although who knows exactly where they’ll slot in Clemson there, somewhere (should be below the 2-loss Big XII teams, but no guarantees, of course).
