What’s the best resource for SoS now that the regular season is over?

A Hawkeye sent me College Football News SoS and it looks bad for the Big 12 and ISU. I need a rebuttal!

Big 10 West circa the last 10 years. then dodging the heavies in the east by getting to play Indiana, Maryland and Rutgers.

The ISU SOS would have looked better had Iowa not **** the bed against UCLA and MSU. Any Iowa fan that wants to compare SoS does not understand college football enough to have an educated conversation

Interesting to look at BYU vs ISU.

Same record, same SOS (37 vs 38). But ISU is 3 points better. Why? Margin of victory? ISU is about 1 whole point better there.

Same with Az St. They are 1.3 points worse than ISU with same record, and SOS is 42 vs 38. And ASU MOV is 1.5 points better than ISU, yet lower. IDK.

Lastly on Sagarin, blind resume:

TEAM A
10-2 overall
SOS 52
Vs Top 30 teams: 3-2

TEAM B
10-2 overall
SOS 38
Vs Top 30 teams: 3-0

Which team should be ranked above the other?

(Hint: both are "State" schools with 3 vowels in the name of the state)
I'll bite....? Who is it? LOL

With the 13th data point wouldn't that make our SOS even better? Anyway to project our SOS with that?

Wow, the Hawkeyes have good reason to be pissed.

Like them, Boise State’s best “win” is a close loss to a team playing for a P4 conference championship this weekend.

However, Boise State is likely to get a bye in the playoff because of a gaudy record racked up against an even weaker conference slate.

Here is the only rebuttal: SOS doesn't matter and anybody that tells you it does is lying to you or is ignorant.

You need to win. You need to go 11-1. How you get there doesn't matter.

Indiana, Boise St, and SMU are all considered somewhat locks for the CFP.

Indiana SOS: 60 in Massey, 65 FPI, best win... 7-5 Michigan, the only team they've beaten with a winning record
Boise St. SOS: 73 in Massey, 86 FPI, best win... @UNLV
SMU SOS: 63 in Massey, 75 in FPI, best win, @L'ville or @Duke

Tell them SOR is far better than SOS

A team could have a SOS of 20; however, they played two top 5 teams (lost both by large margins) and beat up on teams ranked 50+

SOS means nothing if a team doesn't win against the better teams
