I bet Avery Johnson is feeling that Orange sack this morning. Or should I say Orange Crush. Ouch
That and regretting the grounding call for a safety.

That was the play of the game.

A perfectly executed A gap blitz.

Also, I would say this was Campbell's best game as coach. From the first snap, ISU played to win. And it showed.

Not everything worked, but Campbell rarely played it safe, and instead was more unpredictable and took some great calculated risks.

Reminds me of beating OU at Norman with Kyle Kempt. That's the best version of Campbell.

Apparently the rot wasn't setting in. Who knew?

Things that helped in the cold: blankets to sit on, hand warmers, layers. Insulated coveralls were wonderful until you had to use the porta potty in the tailgate. Moving around was important. Went down before end of half to warm up in the bathroom. Glad I went when I did because 50,000 people had the same idea. Hot chocolate hit the spot.

And the big thing was it was on third down. Can you imagine his backup coming in in that situation?

The announcers acted like it was an automatic penalty but his toes were actually kind of gliding on the ground.

I think it might just be the reality of how hard an ideal Orange Crush tackle really is. He's a massive athletic guy and he's gonna crush some people in the arena.
They definitely could have thrown the flag for landing on Johnson, but KState did the same thing earlier to Becht and no call, so they were consistent.

I don't follow the other school, but I did see the clip where Nebraska captains wouldn't shake hands to start the game.

Total BS. Great job by KSU to handle a situation they didn't want to be in.
Iowa had police block midfield from Nebraska’s pregame prayer thing, so I think there was plenty of stuff going on there.

It was the most entertaining part of the game. Man, Iowa games are snoozers to watch.

I gave us about a 40% chance going in, but when I saw our defense was selling out to stop their run and it was working my confidence went up dramatically.
Giddens concerned me even more than Johnson going in, beings how UCF's, T Tech's, & KU's RBs torched us, allowing their QB runs to be even more effective. Think the last 2-3 possession by KSU Giddens was not on the field. We either punished him or he was taken out due to ineffectiveness.

We didn’t get a lot of tackles for loss on him but it was basically 1-3 yards max every time they handed it to him.

Wow, that's sad commentary, but I believe you.
Not me! I promise I won't. However, I was at the 1991 game vs. Colorado! So, I don't want any smack from anybody who wasn't at that 1991 CU game. / sarcasm.

Seriously, personal choice. I made it to three home games this year (Ark. State, Baylor and UCF), and I can sleep at night as a Cyclone fan.

Let's Go State!

It's ironic that us fans felt like Campbell could have actually called it safer... as in instead of 1 QB sneak and then turning the page and running two "more creative" plays that almost got us in trouble, we would have preferred as many QB sneaks as it took to score the TD or before setting for the FG.

Otherwise, it was nice seeing a really aggressive game. Too bad Becht had an off day or we would have lit up the kitties.

The brilliance of joefrog continues, win = Campbell good coach, lose = Campbell bad coach
