Why I watch this every week I don’t know. But let’s win Saturday and I love a matchup with Penn State, and us all figuring out how the hell we get to State College.
Not a f'ing easy trip to get there that's for sure.

Big 12 champion is getting in. Everyone calm down. Hell would have to freeze over for that to not happen.

I think they’ll drop PSU below ND if they lose. But keep Oregon above ND if they lose.

How in the world would UNLV jump the Big 12 Champ? ISU and ASU are both ranked higher and the winner would each have another ranked win.

If Boise loses to UNLV, the Big 12 is getting the 4th by, no debate. I believe the Big 12 Champ should get the 4th seed regardless but for whatever reason the committee is valuing the MWC competition higher than Big 12..

Because already none of any of this makes any sense to anyone thinking rationally whatsoever? No rational person would ever make Boise St the #4 seed when their only good win on the year is UNLV and their "best win" is a close loss to Oregon. Yet they're positioned so high and the Big 12 positioned so low (despite the Big 12 teams clearly having better wins) that it'd be impossible for the Big 12 champ to jump them unless they lose.

Further, they have UNLV ranked at 20. You honestly think they're not priming to screw the Big 12 over in the eventuality UNLV upsets Boise? "ermagerd... UNLV had the stones to go into Boise and snatch the MWC championship from them... they're clearly better than the Big 12 champ."

It’s almost as if the games don’t even matter

I used to argue that I didn't want it expanded to 16 because teams like Alabama could mail it in...now it's pretty clear they can mail it in at 12.

You'd probably need 8 teams to make sure the favorite brands actually had to win.

Nah - at 8 teams they'd eliminate auto qualifiers and then the Big 12 would never sniff the playoff ever again. It would literally become the SEC-Big 10 Invitational sponsored by ESPN (not that that isn't what it already is).

ISU wins, Clemson beats SMU, Oregon beats Penn St. ISU 4th seed and gets winner of Clemson (12th) and Ohio St. (5th) in Fiesta Bowl.... oh what a wonderful world it would be!

Delusional take at this point. A Clemson team that just beat the #8 SMU team is jumping the Big 12 champion. This week's ranking was set up to screw over the Big 12 as much as possible.
