This was NOT expected before the season - this would be viewed as a Top 5 ISU defense against a Top 5 Marquette offense, however it's the other end of the court that is the elite matchup, with ISU's offense and Marq's defense being unexpectedly great so far this year.
That 17.3% Steal rate is bananas - and will be a real problem for our guards. They have 3 players averaging over 2.5 steals a game. For reference, Tamin was #4 in the country at 2.7 steals per game last year.
Whichever set of guards can take care of the ball while running their offense will win this game.
The pace will also be very interesting - both teams are the same, playing really fast on offense (top 20 in offensive possession length) and really slow on defense (bottom 30 in defensive possession length)
