He had to stick around so he can ride Brock Harding to the NBAHe should have just done it this year.
He could be a "fan/dad" and watch Pat and Jack.

Pretty sure he scored a whopping two points against DII Minnesota Deluth the other night. He had to stick around so he can ride Brock Harding to the NBA
Look…I want Gilbert on my team any day of the week, but I’m not having a cow with Sandfort being ranked higher in something like this.
Sandfort showed me last year that he can be VERY hard to defend. He’s 6’8” 215 and shoots the **** out of the ball. Has better handles than people will give him credit for too. I’m not saying he can run the point for ya, but a fast break opportunity isn’t going to slow down if the ball is in his hands. Remember, Kyle Korver (6’7” 212) made a hell of a living in the league.
That he’s a one trick pony? He spots up to chuck three's. That’s it.When I'm wrong I'll admit it. Sandfort really showed me something tonight.

You know what I took out of tonight? And what I’ve now realized over the last couple weeks? Heise is ******* good. I ate crow on that one in another thread after the Marquette game. When I'm wrong I'll admit it. Sandfort really showed me something tonight.
They made their last three pointer at 11:54 to go up 62-53. Down the stretch, Dix 0-4, Sandfort 0-3, Thelwell 0-1haven't seen a 2nd half choke that bad since uthoff
I don’t think Sandfort was as close as the media was saying to making an NBA squad last off season
In the first half, Iowa shot 59% from the field and 54% from deep. They finished (for the game…not just the second half) shooting 44% from the field and 39% from the three point line. They made their last three pointer at 11:54 to go up 62-53. Down the stretch, Dix 0-4, Sandfort 0-3, Thelwell 0-1
Me too - especially his stellar defense on Heise's cut to the basket which gave us our lead at the 3 1/2 minute mark. When I'm wrong I'll admit it. Sandfort really showed me something tonight.

Statistically speaking, that equates to a horrendous second half for them. I don’t know how many of Heise’s 24 minutes were in the second half, but it had to be quite a bit.
I said it once (twice? Or with this post is it three times?), Heise is good. He’s a difference maker. Instinctive hands and has shown he can shut All-Americans down (Kam Jones).

The kid is a G league player fringe NBA player at best. Very good but not great shooter, and if he makes it, he will have to improve his percentage of shot making. Right now he is a volume guy, takes a lot of shots to get his points, that type of play will not keep him in the NBA.I don’t think Sandfort was as close as the media was saying to making an NBA squad last off season
I think he is a great shooter if he takes good shots. He takes too many bad shots. The kid is a G league player fringe NBA player at best. EIU last night played their A+ game for the first half, that was the best they have played all season, and then they reverted back to their norm in the 2nd half. Still ended up making right at their season average in 3 pointers for a game at 10, they just go 9 of them in the first half.
