Um..yea…fail to realize we are still a very young team. Last season was over achieving, things will level out…bulk of the team are sophomores!
Why the hell is Crooks shooting threes early in the shot clock?
Honestly, for as talented as she is, she's clearly a pretty unserious player. I'm not saying that's a bad thing, necessarily, but I've sort of learned to live with that sort of thing.
How the hell was that BOTH NO FOUL and THEIR BALL. For ***** Sake.
You simply cannot chalk up this sort of effort tonight, and our effort again South Carolina, and Iowa, and… to being a “young” team. This is really bad basketball. Period.
Okay we did outscore them in that quarter, so we do have a chance to draw this game back into the respectable range
Exactly, I do think a lot of its youth and the fact that we lost so many players 2 years ago hurts also.
Now the core of the issue is we are slow, not athletic and very soft with the ball. We are good and ran into a buzz saw tonight but to be a top ten team all of our starters should really be coming off the bench.
Kind of reminds me of Iowa football. Win a lot of games but get boat raced when playing top ten teams.
They looked much, much better once they got settled in and UCONN stopped making every shot they took. I would even go as far as to say the second quarter was quite promising.
USC wasn’t our choice. It was a tournament assignment. UConn was a choice.
The offense reminds me of what I just let the computer do when I used to play NBA 2K11. Rudimentary is how it looks to me.
I agree but also this imo is not the same as those games. We’re still making mistakes we shouldn’t be, but the effort has mostly been there. They’re trying after getting into a very quick 26 point hole. The opening defensive scheme was not a good idea but it’s improved since we shifted out of the zone.
You don’t think there is effort out there? Did you watch the second quarter?
