Is he any worse than Cooper Flagg? Flagg is a lottery pick with what he has shown thus far? Flagg is scoring more because he is shooting more. If Flagg is a lottery pick, then Milan should be at least a first rounder.
Flagg is averaging 9 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.6 steals, and 1.4 blocks. His scoring hasn't come through yet, but otherwise he's stuffing the stat sheet.

Flagg plays a different game than Milan. I'm not sure why you're attempting to compare the two. Flagg is a better rebounder, he's a way better athlete, draws more fouls.
Yeah, the Flagg comparison is quite bizarre. Flagg is an elite talent and prospect. Nationally recognized as such. Milan is a very good talent and potential NBA prospect if he makes some improvements to his body/game/athleticism/etc.

Milan has nothing to apologize for; he is having and will continue to have a very good (maybe great) college career. Objectively, he is not at all on Flagg's level, and that is OK.

Agree. There aren't very many guys that are at Flagg's level of pure athleticism. It's not a knock on Milan as he's just not anywhere close. I love watching Milan because when he's feeling it he can be downright lethal. The problem is he doesn't have that same energy every game where he's ready to be a straight up monster. Curtis Jones (I'm not comparing him to Milan as they're WAY different) has that energy every single game where he's knocking down a lot of shots and wants the ball. I wish Milan would demand the ball the way that Jones does. If he were that hungry and could knock down shots at such a high volume then we would be having a different discussion about if Milan was going to the NBA two years early or not. It's a good thing we're getting him for at least another season as there will be huge shoes to fill with the departures of our two best players.

Eaglestaff and Momcilovic on the wing next year would be some ridiculous offensive firepower. Interesting there is a bit a connection there with Lipsey.
Only thing is that Eaglestaff isn't the most athletic and how does his defense hold up?

Moore is a true PG

Batemon is a combo guard - from the little I've seen, he reminds me a lot of Keshon, where he can play off the ball primarily, but on the ball when needed

Mitchell is a slashing wing - good athlete, plus defender but limited offensively at this point. His comp to me is Watson, but hopefully better offensive upside. He probably ends up as a '4'.

Toure is basically an unknown, but is considered another combo guard - I'm guessing he's more of a project though.

This was TJ's quote on signing day:

We haven't really seen it since Lipsey, and that was just by dumb luck, but I think next year we may actually have major contributions from a freshman. I would put my money on Batemon potentially being in the rotation at the beginning of the year.
I assume this is referring solely at PG, because Milan was a major contributor as a freshman starting every game and scoring about 11 points a game last year.

Rock, Fish, Watson and maybe even Nojus(hope not) will probably be gone next year or the year after. TJ isn't afraid to recruit over you. Just the way it is.
Agree on Fish and Watson.
Rock - maybe, might not be a great fit.
Nojus stays - imho

Rock was an early enrollee last year, so age/experience wise he would be like a regualar freshman (like nojus this year). he has time to develop. I do worry with his size on defense if he'll develop the necessary quicks to play man defense. He's be great in a zone scheme, but we don't usually run zone.

Rock is a bad fit for the way we play. I want him to stay, but seems like he should try a different style.

I have to disagree on Mitchell. I think he’s the closest thing to Niang we’ll ever see in Ames.

Watch him on YouTube. Kid put Cooper Flagg in a blender repeatedly.

Is there anything wrong with that?
No skin off my nose, just an observation that you could theoretically have a young 17 year old freshman going up against a 29 year old man (maybe even 30 if did the prep academy prior to JUCO).

Agreed. There is a huge difference in athletic ability between a freshman and a 26-27 year old man. I don’t think this would be good for the college game.

17 year old freshman, lol, yeah sure.
There aren’t many now, and there would be even fewer if programs have access to older players.
