What a game by ASU. Should be very proud of the effort they gave. Sometimes it just goes the other way.

Sometimes it just goes the other way??? How about sometimes the refs blow an incredibly obvious call that costs a team from advancing in the playoffs?

Guy brought the house, and UT blocked it, would have been better off blitzing a couple and kept the other safety back to help.

Ya, I prefer the Iowa method in that scenario. Zone it up and make them make a big play.

First view isn't conclusive, second two are SO OBVIOUSLY lowering crown of his helmet.

You can't ever call the penalty if you don't call that.

People who "don't want games decided on that"...you need to completely get rid of it.

ASU shouldn't have blitzed on 4 and 13. That was the ball game, that was their chance to close it out

He showed where it was coming from and what was coming. Not hid very well. I think they sent one too many and too close together with too much exposure on it.

I don't think them blitzing was the reason Texas scored. Safety lost track of their best WR. I'd rather blitz a guy and not let the QB have all day in the pocket.

I missed about a quarter, did ASU have any targeting calls? If they did, that's enough to throw the result of this game out.

I'll never understand how the typical sports fan is 100% different than me.

I have zero interest now, especially knowing these two conferences have done everything possible to destroy Iowa State and teams like us. Every year if the NCAA tournament ends up with all blue bloods I instantly tune out and ignore, compared to like the two years Butler went all the way I was glued to it.

Agree with you but apparently we are in a small minority. Don't get why any Big 12 fan would watch any more games this year.

Second, I don’t know if the defenseless receiver was erased because the ball looked to be tipped. I could be wrong with that though.

Still had to likely make a FG with a suspect kicker BUT they absolutely should’ve had the chance.

Wondered about the tipped ball too and if that’s why the review was so quick.

I sat at Christmas with a person that is an avid sports fan that has no allegiances. They don't understand how I got so riled up about the ISU / Miami game. He just likes to watch exciting sport of all sorts and doesn't get all riled up.

I explained to him that makes him a sports observer, not a fan. He does not understand my point of view at all.

He is one of the people that would continue to watch the super league. He wouldn't like it, but he would continue to watch it. I told him I would NEVER watch anything in that league becuase it has nothing to do with any team that I cheer for and he found that odd.

There are different people out there. I'd just like to know the actual marketing research that has been done on the casual fan and the one that is attached to all the other NCAA schools BECAUSE of the school they choose to root for. I honestly don't know what those percentages would be, but I would like to know.

Casuals are where the ratings are and they only know what the media machine tells them.

I think most of us are like that. So the casual fans must be the opposite, and casuals must outnumber real fans like 50 to 1 because you know they don't tune in as consistently.

They would have had the ball at the 35 with a minute to go. They either score a touchdown or end up with a chip shot field goal to win the game.

But we'll never know what would have happened because it was stolen from them. I hate the SEC, Big 10, and ESPN.

The other thing ASU just proved is that Auto-bids are fine. The 12 team format is fine. These byes are the only thing keeping the conference championship games relevant in the BIG and SEC
