I have always been on the fence regarding beer sales at Jack Trice. However, continuing to raise prices and not selling beer is reaching old man yelling at the could territory.

The idea that people are going to be falling down drunk all over the stadium and it will ruin the family atmosphere is hard to continue to sell when we can see that isn't the case at so many places.

Anyway I am sure Pollard isn't going to change his stance but next time he ask for more money people are going to continue to become more frustrated about the lack of beer sales.

This person will never get frustrated with lack of beer sales.

I don't know how that end of game targeting review did not turn into a targeting call. If that wasn't textbook targeting I don't know what was. Might not have meant Arizona State wins, but it makes you wonder

I appreciate CW laying into the coaching staff for not being honest about who was playing in the bowl game. It's a terrible way to treat your fan base for a negligible at best strategic advantage.

How does it affect non-gambling fans? Were there fans that were mad for reasons other than gambling? As a fan who paid a significant amount of money to go to the game, my only disappointment was that I wouldn't have a chance to see Porter or Higgins play again.

And as far as the gambling people go, I just don't care Frankly, that should be part of the 'game' of gambling. Guessing what will happen. To me, that would make gambling more fun.

Also, we won by 1. Who the hell knows if keeping things quiet made a difference in the game. But, if it did, that could have been the difference between a 1 point win and a loss. And we'd all be ******** if we had lost.

I respectfully disagree. I think CW is wrong to criticize Campbell for not being more forthcoming about injuries and opt-outs.

Being more forthcoming about this creates a competitive disadvantage and it only helps the gamblers. Anything Campbell can do to make it less attractive for gamblers is fine by me.

My position has zero to do with gambling. I'm not a bettor and I don't care about what helps or hurts bettors.

Agreed. So long as there's no requirement to divulge player status, if CMC wants to keep it a secret, that's his choice. Whether he feels like it's a competitive advantage thing or a privacy thing, or he just doesn't want to, it's his call as far as I'm concerned.
If that pisses off gamblers or viewers, tough titty. Don't watch/bet if you don't like it.

Good for you, seriously.

Nevertheless, requiring college coaches to report injuries and opt-outs will only help the gambling industry. Big 10/SEC/Network greed are already destroying college football. Adding more gambling influence only increases the money factor.

I just think it's really petty.

JP is too family values to allow it.

I'd argue there is no difference. It's not like everyone is drinking tea in the lots or smuggling in Diet Cokes.

We have Cy on alcohol labels. Our school mascot is a booze salesman.

Mix in some flash and flesh. Make it easy to get.

Print money. Sell the goddam beer. It's a new world.
