What!? Everything at Qdoba is so bland.
Seriously? Compared to Pancheros? Are you sure you didn't put a rubber glove on your tongue?

Qdoba soup with cotija, pickled onions, chili crema may not be for everyone, but it sure as heck isn't bland.

Any edible pancheros in crapids anymore? Feel like 1st Ave and edgewood (both) are consistently terrible
1st Ave is straight trash still. Granted I couldn't tell you the last time I went there because of that fact. Haven't been to the Marion one as it is not convenient.

The Johnston Pancheros is the best by far. If your into burrito bowls, Chipotle is better than Pancheros.
Yep…I have honestly never found another good location. Had a bunch of bad experiences elsewhere (CR, IC/Coralville, Mason City, Altoona). Really dirty, food behind counter looks and tastes disgusting. But the Johnston one is consistently excellent. It’s the reason I can’t be fully down on Panch. I try to get there a couple of times a year when I’m in the area.

Pancheros tortillas are better, but the proteins are better at Chipotle, IMHO.

But they both pale in comparison to Qdoba.

I know it might sound weird, but Qdoba's soup beats anything on Chipotle/Pancheros menu.

If you are going for a burrito Panch is better than Qdoba and Chipotle but if you are going for a bowl it's Qdoba and Chipotle all day.

Funny that everyone can basically agree what’s the best pancheros but there’s no consensus on what location in the worst

I would avoid the Altoona Pancheros ... went in one time at lunch to see all the employees literally holding tortillas to their noses going "do these smell weird"? to each other with a long line of customers growing increasingly concerned (we 180'd out of there fast)

Been to one in Cedar Rapids without incident, but Altoona seems really sketchy.

Worst I have seen is Grimes, it is absolutely TERRIBLE. Staff, management, food, closing randomly, out of food randomly, dirty equipment laying everywhere behind counter. Basically I can say zero good things about that location.

Pancheros in Brooklyn Park is pretty good. Both Chipotles in Brooklyn Park are terrible.

as if any of you care about the Minnesota stores...

Back when we were a proper country!

Also, Panch changed their hot sauce like 8 years ago and I'm still upset about it.
I had at one point 40 bottles in my car in high school. Gave them out on senior skip day and then one day they switched to the way worse hot sauce.

I was so pumped when the Waukee location opened however many years ago. But after giving it a try, then a redemption attempt, I gave up on it and only go to the Jordan Creek location.

Nothing better than a good pancheros location. Nothing worse than a bad pancheros location.

The best are Ankeny and Jordan Creek Parkway in WDM. The one in Grimes is absolutely terrible.

Maybe I need to try it again. Used to have one near work and it wasn’t great.
