Have done it for a few years now, we're participating again this year. No alcohol, caffeine, nicotine, or sweets.

No idea why I agreed to Dry January … going to be a long month.

Anyone else doing this?

Hell no I'm a grown ass man I'll drink if I want to, that said I was on the road NYE and haven't had a drink yet this yr 1st one I'll have will probably be when I go to the local brewery to get my niece's husband a variety 4 pack for a Christmas present.

Not a chance I do it. My wife qualifies every year for an all expense paid trip to Cancun through her company. Feb might be my option if I so desired haha.

I'm going to keep drinking alcohol but cut out pop for water.
I’m attempting the double. No alcohol or pop. Also trying to get to the gym at least 5-6 days a week.

Plus I have a physical at the end of the month.

Opened this thread expecting something completely different.

I was like... did you not just see what happened this morning?!

Carry on and Godspeed!

On the road...
Dry January is the worst fad in the history of fads. If people are so concerned about their liver/health, then why do you wait until Jan 1 to do something about it? You are just going drink the same amount come Feb 1.

As did I. I was thinking this was about wives punishing husbands for all the football and basketball watching.

On a somewhat related note

A couple of years ago I went more than a year without booze. Also cut the fast food

It was crazy how things changed.

Never really got back into the booze groove after that.
