This was a game that could have gotten out of hand easily. But in the first half we got easy buckets out of timeouts to stop the bleeding. TJ also controlled the crowd perfectly, every time they would get into it he would use a timeout. Then the management of the late game situation (obviously we had to have a 91% FT shooter miss a front end) was a masterpiece!

The boys also showed a ton of guts. They went into a hostile, upset minded environment and left with win. Well done, gentlemen!

I am so glad TJ is our coach and that we have the staff we do! GO CLONES!!!!

I said it after the game ended in the game thread, but that was a "preparation for March" win. Similar thing happened against Illinois in the tourney last year and we didn't have enough in us to get over the top after we scratched and clawed back into it. Yeah, road Q1 win and all, it's gonna boost our resume, but what I think is more important is what they learned from this game and the confidence they now must have coming out of it.

100%! Well said. There are certainly quantifiable benefits of this win (resume builder, Q1 win) but it would be really hard to overstate how many unquantifiable benefits there are. Massive amounts of confidence and learning for sure!

The last out of bounds to get Jefferson the look to get fouled on was great. All the attention on our guards and you get him one on one with a great seal.

We probably lucked out a bit on that OOB too. Looked like Gilbert was a bit out of control in that and we could have had an ending like the Auburn one.

Everything Self would have done, minus the technical foul to get the refs back onside. Agree, really stepping up

It kinda helped us that TT made the last free throw in regulation. Allowed us to get more time on the clock and set something up. If he misses, we likely see Gilbert go to the hoop out of control. It seemed like Momcilovic was supposed to get it back to Gilbert and then up to Lipsey. He made a good decision when that wasn't open and still executed the plan. I'd be interested to see exactly what was drawn up cause Milan seemed surprised to be unguarded.
