This is being officiated like an AAU game. Not many fouls.

Look for that to change at some point in the second half as the refs "adjust" to the game as well. Which will be interesting.

Good news is, I don't think we can play a worse 2nd half. Turning it over. Not causing turnovers. Can't hit a 3. I think all of that will average out in the 2nd half.

Sincerely don’t think I am being hyperbolic. I think that’s the most non-calls I’ve EVER seen in a half of Iowa State basketball (both ways). Ever. WVA is objectively/factually fouling constantly. I cannot stress that enough. And we’re getting away with fouls too, but we’re NOT playing quite as physical/fouly as they are.

West Virginia is getting away with murder on defense. This is the most physical game we’ve played this year and there’s only 9 total fouls thus far

Even as they are guarding our guards outside, hands everywhere. Constantly have a hand on our guy's body, and NOTHING. Lipsey has to swat their guy away like a fly at a picnic.

It’s probably time to have the conversation that we just aren’t a good 3 point shooting team outside of Curt and Milan every couple of games. Milan is good for a 3-6 game and then will go 1-6.
