Lipsey and Gilbert are good and absolutely cspable from three. Just haven't found it yet.

I don't know why the focus is on Heise.

Because the last time he made a three was December 15th. He gets more wide open ones than anybody on the team. If he can’t knock down 30% of them he needs to stop shooting them.

If we can take away their 3s and make a couple I'll feel a lot better.

Jefferson needs to get a few at the rim, too.

We are up 10+ with a “normal” shooting half.

Silver lining is I don’t think we’ll shoot that poorly in the second half.

Need to figure out how to get it to the block and force WV to get called for fouls.

I didn't think there was enough of that for the first twenty.

Genuine question why is heise struggling so much offensively? Obviously he’s a good rebounder and solid defensively but he was a double digit scorer last year
I’m sure some of it is due to competition level. But that doesn’t really explain the terrible shooting on wide open threes.

This looks like TJs first and second year offensively.

Zero ball movement.

Optimistic we will get this going in the second half.
Because they are being allowed zero freedom of movement. It’s hard to do offense when this sort of defense is being allowed b the officials.

It's amazing how consistent CuJo is. Everybody else is up and down but every game he brings the scoring punch.
And right now it's like everyone is standing around and watching him.... someone else needs to step up and help.

WV has some length on the perimeter and is making the swing passes tricky.

With how WV is playing the pick and roll at the top of the key, they have their hands in the way of every pass and every hand off. We need to show them a different offensive look and try to open some space up inside for Jefferson. Then eventually they will start doubling JJ every time, and we have to hit some shots.

Jefferson puts the ball on the floor way too much for his handle, he always has the ball so far away from his body and then seems shocked when it gets stolen (frequently). Hasn’t adjusted this yet from the WCC to the Big 12.
