Didn’t K-state fans say they didn’t care if Howard transferred because his back-up was better?
I can’t believe that I am saying this. But in their defense if Avery had that supporting cast (OSU) he would look a lot better too. Not really apples to apples here.

That’s what $22 Million buys you a national title.

Maybe. But it'd be different if Ohio State was some outlier. They're a blue blood. No stranger to the Playoff in prior seasons. And it's not like they were untouchable. They dropped two games this year. They're very good, but it's not like they were head and shoulders better than any other team this year.
Did they spend $50 million this year? No, so I’m not sure why we’re bringing up this season as some counter

The point is, uncapped player compensation will cause a stratification of even the blue bloods. And on the wrong end of that will be blue bloods that previously enjoyed location and history moats, as much as they used illicit (capped) compensation

It’s early, too early to think this year is anything more than just the beginning. And yet we’re already seeing starters from Bama transfer to OSU and power shifting out of the SEC

Let’s not be pedantic about the number. $50 million next year is just a placeholder for whatever number that would get the attention of schools that don’t have the wealth potential of OSU, but were previously peers

I need Notre Dame to win. These ******* from the SEC and B10 are running the whole show and stacking the deck in their favor. Need them to lose.

I don't disagree with any of that, but at the same time, I also don't really care if there's a stratification among blue bloods. As an Iowa State fan, I've spent my entire life on the underside of the have vs have not line.

The fact is that modern major college sports are built on inequality. It's the lifeblood. Power conference vs mid major. Unequal scheduling between teams. Vast differences in television revenue. Media blatantly pumping up their preferred teams. It's baked into the system.
But I refuse to say the sky is falling now that a few of the traditional powers might be losing a bit of their edge to other schools. They had no problem with the system when it was benefiting them. So they can get ****ed now.

Really creeping me out....has anyone seen Ryan Day and Garth Brooks in the same room at the same time?
