I love what Fred did for our program. Truly. But am I stupid for thinking he’s actually not that great of a coach and may TJ was a big reason for that success?
I think Fred was successfull at ISU because he was on the forefront of utilizing transfers and an analytics driven NBA style of offense. He doesn't have those edges anymore and he's not good enough in the other areas of coaching to make up for it. I think what little culture there was under Fred was probably due to TJ and the players he wanted to bring in, like an Ejim.

Additionally, when you’re Fred Hoiberg there’s some intangibles when you’re the coach at ISU. Gave that up when he left and it hasn’t been the same.

Remember when people thought Colorado was a good team after we beat them? 0-7 in the Big 12 now with a 16 point home loss to BYU.

fred gave up after the Rashad Vaughn recruiting fiasco.

Dayton was so close to beating UNC and CO was so close to losing to UConn both those go the other way and we have 2 more quad 1 wins.
