Watson has filled in nicely but these games without him have shown that we desperately miss the offense he can bring.
Five straight games where we racked up a ton of turnovers getting doubled in the paint. I get wanting to play inside out with Milan being out, but we are not responding to what our opponents are doing to us on the defensive end.
I will say this **** is dumb. I’m a pissed as anyone at how bad we looked. But my god how spoiled is anyone who says this. Ranked top 10 all year. Projected one seed coming into this game. So maybe we wind up a 3 or something- we aren’t bad. We have some things to fix. Milan’s hurt. Heise and Jackson are underperforming. But we aren’t bad.

At this point just hope we can make a tourney run with milan back. Maybe even rest lipsey to get him healthy. Can't win the conference and likely won't even be 2nd.

Little more cynical than I am but I think you’re right. at best we’re looking at another Sweet 16 run.
So many things to say here.
I have wondered about Schmidt for a long time.
Gilbert is a ball-dominant guard and makes the ball stick. When he gets a turnover or three, it completely saps his energy and he becomes passive and frankly bad.
Tamin and Jones aren’t the kind of athletes -height-wise, or athletically - that can get much on their own.
Jefferson still doesn’t understand that he’s the key to unlocking this team - or perhaps the staff doesn’t.
Everybody else is an offensive zero.
We really need Milan back, and even then it’s a flawed roster that usually gets the most out of average athletic talent that overachieves.
Half our rotation can't score, and we turn it over and give up ORBs non-stop. Aren't going to beat anyone with a pulse with those problems.

I go back and forth between blaming TJ to also thinking you got a team with this many clear deficiencies on both ends to number 3 in country, that’s wild even if temporary.
