Was at the game tonight.
Surrounding Kansas fans were cool, from the get-go.
Made the trip worthwhile. Majority were complimentary of TJ n crew (polite/friendly is easy, when Kansas beats the shot outta an opponent)!

It has been like that for quite a while now, even in some of the games we won. It's the complete opposite of watching a Hoiball offense when he was here. Those offenses were a thing of beauty. And TJ's offenses have no flow whatsoever. Even my high school team had a better looking offense.
It seems like when Milan was playing, the team snapped the ball around the perimeter very well. That is one thing that has been lost since his injury.

They are having a rough year too ..Remember they were ranked #1 and 7-0 to start the year
It can be humbling

How many guys are allowed to crash the boards for ORBs? I assume you need 2 guys back to guard against fast breaks. If you have a 70% chance of a missed shot, do you start looking for 2nd chance opps? I think ISU kind of did that tonight.

This team quit.
When Keshon didn’t “dive for the loose ball” it was telling.
We’re cooked.
Can’t wait for Jamarion Batemon.
Well at least you won't have to watch GameDay on Saturday and the game after.

Your Saturday will be wide open for other activities.

It will be a good break for you.

More amazing bench production from Heise and Chatfield tonight.

There's no way to sugarcoat it, they are both colossal recruiting busts. The staff needs to do better on adding talent to an already elite returning core.

Heise seemed like a good get at the time to be honest. I don’t know what’s going on there. Guessing he’s just not a P5 player. Chat looked good early in the season, but has fell off a cliff. Still time for them to show something if they want or can

ISU has played 6 games in 16 calendar days the most in the Big 12 of any team. Condensed schedules are tough

Believe it will be a bit more spread out next few weeks

That could help as well.
This is another "why kansas' run was amazing" reason. Being the big player means alot of big Mondays... so alot of 2 day turnaround and compressed schedule. They still j killed it every big Monday.

It appears that the big men are not buying into the defensive scheme. The big are getting beat down the floor by the opponents big guys rim running. In addition, how many point blank looks did ISU big men brick? This team appears to be on life support.

There were moments, but this really isn't true.

I was hoping this team was good enough and experienced enough to avoid a stretch like this, but even the best teams can struggle with adversity.

I think in the early parts of the season, and with Milan healthy, they were good enough to overcome some of their flaws (not as sharp on defense, not taking great care of the ball, not working through the offense). Then you lose your premiere shooting threat, teams can pack the paint a bit, you suddenly become guardable and the flaws actually make a difference (and the big target is still on your back).

With all that said, the main factor IMO is the loss of confidence and swagger. Just need to string a couple games together, get Milan back, get some momentum and positive vibes, and I think they can return to being every bit the top 5 team that I think they are. The next 4 games are a great opportunity to make that turnaround.

I don't know, maybe he has a broken thumb or something.
