The second half last night was basically a 20-point lead for KU. A couple of times, around the 12-minute mark and 8-minute mark, the lead was over 20 points, in AFH. What would it have hurt to give Nojus 5 minutes to see what he can do? I don't understand.

But I also don't understand the thinking behind running the starters to the end of 30-pt pre-con blowouts either.

The beatings will continue until morale improves.

The first non Milan games were better though it seems. Even ASU and UA were. Its definitely trending down, which seems odd. I would have hoped they'd figure more out as they went, not get worse.

Teams have scouted and/or played against us and we are gassed. Need Milan back, and maybe a day or two off this week.

I chalk it up to good coaching. The Milan news broke the day of the KU game so they wouldn't have had a chance to gameplan. UCF was so bad defensively it didn't matter. By the time we got to Arizona they'd pretty well figured out defensively that if you cut off Keshon's drives and double CuJo on handoffs and screens that no one else is really a threat.

Lots of good coaches in this league that can identify weaknesses and exploit the **** out of them.

If you guys thought everything was going to just be fixed in two days you’re crazy. That’s what sucks about the Monday games, you prep time is basically zero. After Saturday’s performance the lasting this team needed was a short turnaround.

While I agree last night was a bad time for a short turnaround, I actually think we did a lot of improving on many of the things that lost us the game Saturday. We just found new problems, mostly in the form of not being able to hit a goddamn thing. TJs teams, as good as they have been, when they go cold they seem to find their way to absolute zero somehow.

Aside from phisical limitations that are issues for getting good looks, I don't know who the main leader is in the group. Is there one? Someone may need to emerge in that role or the ship can really take on water.
I think Jefferson tried to be that guy. Earlier on for a couple games he was really vocal out on the floor trying to direct traffic. You could tell in his body language it frustrated him when something bad happened when he tried to direct something to happen. He probably got frustrated in practice and the coaches are trying to get him to not let things get to him. He's said it recently in a press conference. His way of combating that must be to not be as vocal so his directions don't fall on deaf ears cause I really haven't seen him that vocal recently. A leader out on the floor would really be a benefit right now but like you say, no one is.

As bad as it was last night, one bright spot was the improvement in effort from Jackson. Props to him and hopefully he will continue to develop. We need the big man to impact the game.

I'd love to see him look for that 8-10 footer more. He has a nice stroke from the FT line and I'd be amazed if it doesn't translate to an open jumpshot. For that high handoff/ball screen to work he has to be a threat from 8 feet.

yet Zeke Mayo isn't have any issues with the transition up to Big 12 play.....not to say that there aren't growing pains from the level of competition increase but other teams have transfers who contribute right away
Zeke Mayo shooting is a bit all over the place in Big 12 games he has had some issues. Look at the Baylor game, Cincy, others

He can be a streaky player too.

Zeke Mayo loves playing against Iowa State.

Last year vs SDSU (NCAA first round) - 4/6 from 3
First game vs KU - 3/9 from 3
Second Game vs KU - 5/6 from 3

Against Iowa State, he is 57% from 3-point range.

I just saw the picture of Gilbert on the CF front page. Is Gilbert grabbing his crotch in the picture? Gilbert KU picture.jpg

Through 11conference games, he's shooting 47% 2pt, 40% 3pt, and 81% FT. For the season, he is 51% 2pt, 39% 3pt, and 80% FT. Seems not too bad.
Curtis Jones in Big 12 play, has similar, last couple of games have been poor. Up and down.

I'm assuming that could have been reviewed for contact to the head/neck? Tamin's absolutely got to be adamant to the refs about reviewing that. I didn't see any of our team asking for a review.

I totally get the "don't react to calls" things, but in a situation like that you've got to say something to TJ and the ref to have them look at it.

Tamin or TJ don't even have to go ballistic about it. Just ask if they could review it. If TJ or Tamin didn't ask for a review, that was a missed opportunity.

He's one of our better FT shooters. He should honestly even be working on taking wide open 3's at the top of the key.

Chatfield surprisingly hasn't fired any this year either, which is odd considering he did it a fair amount at Seattle. 56 attempts in 22-23 (39%!) and 27% on 33 attempts in 23-24. He is left unguarded out there often, someone needs to tell him it's the same 3 pt line

Should have been at least a flagrant 1 on kansas player!
