I’m not watching this game. Just watching on ESPN gamecast . Are the announcers saying that we are short handed like ten times plus like they would if our opponent was short handed?
They’ve actually been very fair and cognizant of our short-handedness

Many times, yes.

I’d argue you start Jackson because if he’s on you know it right away, if he’s not, he will foul himself out of the game in 15-20 minutes anyway. You always know what you will get from Chatfield regardless of how the game is going.
Fair enough counterpoint. For how huge Jackson is, his number of rebounds is pretty low as well. He’s not as good of a rebounder as Chat.

Refs finally not letting the "ultra" aggressive HOU stuff go, single digits

That last foul on Houston was a stupid losing basketball play…and until this moment officials had rewarded it because they are afraid of Sampson.

Imo it's not nearly as bad as is being portrayed.

They're super aggressive and ISU doesn't handle the ball well as a general rule imo.
It's the off ball stuff I'm seeing. Grabbing, holding etc. They aren't calling it the same both ways at the point of attack either though. It isn't egregious, but notable. As usual our guys are holding their composure super well.

Can we make a rule that if anyone mentions Kelderman today they get suspended? We all get it, he is not going to play and blow us away. He is there to spare Tamin some minutes. It is what it is. Let him play hard and we will get whatever we get.

the passing is better today than in a while.

They've still had some weirdness but they seem to be making the 'basic plays' like TJ alludes to in pressers. Especially as of late.

I'm guessing he gets tired of saying that in huddles.

That’s not how it works anymore. This is the media timeout now. A timeout taken within 30 seconds of a media timeout counts as the media timeout
I thought they still called timeouts at the first whistle after 12. Guess we will find out but I hope you’re right. Watching the 4k feed it’s just a view of the court with no sound.

Houston will make a run in March, but they’re going to run into the same problem WV did under Huggins. They’ll get a crew that will call fouls and that will be the end of that. I do think ISU at full strength wins this game

They got that crew last year vs A&M in the tournament and still won in OT. Had 4/5 guys fouled out (with the remaining starter with 4 fouls) and had a walk on shooting fts to secure the win.
