Not sure what more UCLA needs to do to prove themselves worthy. They have several double-digit wins over top-25 teams in conference and OOC.

We will see. Like to see if the can beat the SEC, ACC or UConn.

Yes they beat South Carolina, early, I have watched a number of their games and the Big10 in general, they are simply not as good as those others I have mentioned.

Big 12 top teams and Big 10 top teams are just a step below those of the SEC, ACC and Uconn IMHO.

I'd nudge back on the last part. Lucy and Hannah are a good bit beyond "average" in terms of pure talent IMO, and Taylor is one of the best 3pt shooters in the B1G.

But I agree with the spirit of your point, this Iowa team can give the best in the country fits but then look very ordinary against other ordinary teams. I do like the fact that JJ has them playing better defensively than we've been the past several years.

Well, full house crowd of 15,000 is nothing to sneeze at for making home court advantage a real deal. Got to give a tip of the hat to the fans for showing up in force for those two Cali games.

Also agree on Olsen and Stuelke, coaches voted them pre-season All-Big Ten along side Juju, and Betts.

I will agree with you but try and have a discussion between people who see things from very different perspectives. If you tear into a certain player or two there are people who will call you out and be nasty but if you are not likening a different group of players they come at you for that. the team has some problems but not sure what it is in its entirety. they play good for stretches and then go off the rails like they forgot what to do. Is it coaching or is it players not wanting to do what it takes or losing focus or what. I would like to see the team be better but not sure what it will take to do that. Everyone has what they think needs to be done but it comes down to the people who are at practice everyday that need to be making the changes if needed. And I would rather tear down the suckeyes than have them have any success.

Unreal iowa can beat and top 5 team and give #1 all they can handle and we can't even beat competitive against those teams.

And this Iowa team is average talent wise.

Iowa caught UCLA at the right time in the schedule. UCLA played three games in eight days (last Sunday, Thursday, and today). Iowa played Monday and not again until today. Iowa had five days to prep/rest, it makes a difference late in the season.

I knew Baylor plays at KSU next with the Big 12 title on the line but didn't realize it was such a quick turnaround after our game. They play on ESPN2 Monday night. Might partially explain why Lee only played five minutes Saturday for KSU.

The Big 10 may not be as good as the ACC or SEC but to compare the Big 12 to the Big 10 in women's basketball is ridiculous. Maryland beat Duke, USC beat Ole Miss and UConn, UCLA beat Louisville and South Carolina.

Here’s something that has driven me nuts all year. Illegal screens. They aren’t being called. It seems as if the rolling screen is being coached where the screener sets and as the ball player moves by, the screener slides towards the basket creating a moving “wall.” In the Iowa game yesterday, the last foul on Olsen was also an illegal screen.

Big 12 is certainly behind the other three conferences in WBB but the Big Ten is not behind the ACC and is a pick'em for #1 with the SEC. Most objective, and even slightly subjective, rankings have ACC as #3 and the Big 12 as #4.

• By NET it is #1 SEC, #2 Big Ten, #3 ACC and #4 Big 12.
• By number of teams likely to be dancing it is #1 Big Ten, #2 SEC, #3 ACC and #4 Big 12.
• By percentage of teams in the conference making the dance it's #1 Big Ten,
• By number of title contenders SEC edges out Big Ten with the others trailing.
• SEC is #1 by seeding rank with the other conferences all trailing at 6-7 versus their 4.

I generally take Creme's bracketology stuff with a grain of salt but he had a pretty good write-up a few days back on ranking the conferences. Piece is opinion of course but ends up ranking them in the same order that most people do. Even though I am not big Creme fan I have to give him credit for laying out and citing a mix of NET, number of dancing teams, winning outside of conference, seeding rank and number of probable "contenders" for the title.
