TJ leaving for another college job would probably be the biggest nut kick in ISU history.
He's more likely to stay than any coach we've ever had. He can win a NC at ISU so imo he'd be super strategic if he ever left as to where he'd go. I don't look IU and think TJ is guaranteed to succeed there so I find it unlikely he leaves. I'd be more worried about him going to the NBA. IU is still a great job but I can't see Otz leaving for there

Why isn’t TJ guaranteed to succeed at IU, but can win a title at ISU?

Is it their 2x to 3x NIL budget?

Everyone that is connected will tell you we need to increase our support to compete for a title, aka retain coaches. It’s got to be old for this staff to go into the offseason bringing a knife to a gunfight

I haven't heard a peep out of my hok buddies who like to troll me with "he gone." It's eerily quiet from them. I guess that's a good thing, Please tell me it is.

I mean a lot of us here would jump at a $300k job. I mean I make good money and that would still over double. And our guys are getting offered that over what we are currently giving them to transfer is what we are competing with unfortunately. I hate it as much as anyone but its unfortunately the game currently until someone can actually fix this ****. I'll give a bit to enjoy the Cyclones and what success we are having despite the cards being stacked against us still. I can give up buying a bottle or 2 of whiskey for that for now.
I don't think you understood my post at all.

JP kinda took a gamble on hiring TJ when he did, it was a fairly controversial hire, and gave TJ a shot to be the head coach at his dream job.

I would think TJ would respect JP for giving him that opportunity and not s**t on him now…. but to each their own if he does leave.

TJ would have been hired over Prohm if Pollard had his way.

Stivers tried to tell me I needed new tie rods for $1150. Took it somewhere else and they were completely fine and even if I needed new ones it was a $350 dollar job and about 45 minutes of labor.

Took it in another time for a leak, paid the $99 dollar diagnostic fee. Tech said he couldn't find a leak and that to look harder he needed to take off some plastic guards and that would cost and additional $180. So I guess the initial $99 bucks was just to do part of the job.

I won't even get into Golden Rule, absolute crooks.

That's every car dealership and not unique to Stivers.

We Will should hit up Sitvers Ford or Golden Rule. They could probably donate a couple million with the outrageous price markups on their services.
Is this just being cynical or do u know these two have outrageous markups?

Why? The Golden Rule people always have ISU gear on in their commercials.

Because they're way overpriced & try to upsell you when it's quite clearly not necessary? Their service subscription plan just consists of them looking your system over & suggesting you upgrade - they don't even clean it. When our house was 3 years old they suggested a completely new 'more efficient' HVAC system, that was the last time I used them.

Thankfully Ames Lager is pretty good, though 1858 vodka could use some work.
Yup.

Picked up a bottle because it was on sale at our Fareway the night of the KU game in Hilton. I've made 2 Bloody Marys with it, and I'm about ready to dump it out. I can taste the sweetness (?) or something above the other ingredients and that's not at all what I want out of vodka. I'd legit rather make a Bloody with Hawkeye.

I was out of town and hotwater heater stoped working. They tried to sell my wife a new one when a only a part needed replaced that was still under warranty.
Same thing with my wife and a sump pump. They also spent about 5 minutes looking at my furnace to tell me it was a lost cause and needed a $13,000 new unit. Got another company to come out and fixed it within 5 minutes and it's been running fine all winter.

I dont trust them at all. If you look on Google they have a 4.9/5 rating and lots of negative reviews about upselling and not fixing. Then if you go on Yelp they have a 1.9/5 rating. Something is very sketchy if your ratings are that different.
