I was in Kinnick this year. Watched Porter run down Caleb Johnson from all the way across the field. The fastest player on the field and it wasn’t close. He’s a 10 year NFL guy.
Last play in this video. Not only did he run him down. He ran him down after getting caught up in the wash AND had 20 yards to spare

Josey Jewell also ran a 4.8. I think Higgins has a good chance to have a similar career.
So... pretty average? Jewell hasn't exactly set a super high bar. Not bad. A starter. But not particularly noteworthy.

Jewell did score much better in other RAS scores though.

Possible that Higgins is hurt. Those numbers were pretty shocking given his career.

I get the feeling that Higgins is one of those players that are never going to test well, just is a very good football player. Kind of like Mike Singletary, basically the same size, 6 foot 230, while Higgins is 6 foot and 224. Not saying Higgins is going to the HOF, but EIU got a lot of production out of him the past couple of years.

Yeah? An AJ Klein career is a huge success. I don't understand the response but I probably don't hate Iowa as much as you do
Sorry, no ulterior motive or snark intended. Klein is a good comp to Jewell as well. Being a multi year starter in the NFL is a fine accomplishment. Just trying to draw equivalency.

He did that so many times. Almost made big runs by the opposing RBs exciting to watch.

Higgins tested horribly, and hurt himself with his performance. Looking at best a 6th/7th round pick, maybe not drafted at all. He was smaller than many thought at 6 foot, 224 pounds, the NFL combine his grade at 5.80 average backup or special teamer. Guy is either going to be very good or struggle to make the league, was very productive as a player in college, but will struggle in pass protection at the next level. Kids is just a football player, but he also is year older than many, lot of miles on that body.
Apparently he has been dealing with a hamstring injury and should improve his numbers at Iowa's pro day.

"Darien Porter, CB, Iowa State

Porter might have helped himself more on Friday than any other corner. He measured in at 6-foot-3, 195 pounds, then ran a 4.3-second 40. He also starred in the jumps, leaping 10-foot-11 in the broad jump and 36½ inches in the vertical. He started his college career as a wide receiver before moving to corner in 2022 and continues to improve. At 24 years old, Porter is on the older side but is ideal for a team that uses heavy zone coverage. He was considered a Round 3 guy entering the combine but might have risen into Round 2. -- Reid"
